How to tell whether a beauty deal is worthwhile
A percentage-off label alone does not show that an offer is a good value. Compare like with like: a cleanser, hair dryer and red light mask are different categories, while even products within one category can differ by size, model or included accessories.
- Confirm the exact item: Match the product name, model, size, shade or set contents. For a hair tool, check which attachments are included.
- Compare against a meaningful price: Check another retailer and, where available, Amazon’s Price History link. Amazon says its product pages offer up to 365 days of pricing insights on hundreds of millions of products; availability of the feature can vary by item and interface.
- Check who is selling it: Confirm the seller, stock, shipping and return terms on the live listing.
- Check the Prime requirement: Event-exclusive offers require Prime membership. Confirm the label on the specific deal rather than assuming every listed beauty product has the same terms.
For a quick comparison, record the live sale price beside the reference price, exact product or variant, seller, availability and Prime requirement. A lower price on a different size or bundle is not an apples-to-apples comparison.

Amazon’s U.S. Prime Big Deal Days is scheduled for October 6–7, 2026. Amazon says the 48-hour event begins at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 6 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7.
