Large hardware does not guarantee a better photograph. Autofocus, shutter timing, stabilization, lens quality and image processing remain decisive, especially with moving subjects. Video claims need a mode attached to them. “Professional video” is too vague by itself; a meaningful claim should specify resolution, frame rate, codec or format, HDR mode, stabilization and whether external audio or storage is required.
How do zoom, megapixels and sensor size affect real photos?
Zoom numbers describe different technologies. A dedicated optical telephoto uses a separate lens and sensor. A 2x view may be a crop from a high-resolution main sensor. Hybrid zoom combines optical data, cropping and computation, while a maximum such as 30x, 100x or 120x is primarily a digital or computational mode. Those figures should never be compared as though they represent the same image quality.
Megapixels are similarly conditional. A 200MP sensor can provide useful cropping latitude in good light, but pixel binning, lens resolution, subject movement, shutter speed, processing and the final viewing size may matter more. A lower-resolution camera can produce the better photograph if it focuses faster or avoids motion blur.
Sensor size affects light-gathering potential and depth of field, but a large sensor does not automatically win at night or in motion. Night-mode timing, autofocus, optical stabilization, aperture, lens transmission and computational processing all contribute to the result.
What should buyers know about AI photo editing?
AI editing should be divided into enhancement and generation. HDR fusion, noise reduction and sharpening alter the rendering of captured data, while object removal, generative fill and recomposition can add or remove scene content. The latter can produce a better keepsake but a less documentary record.
For family memories and social posts, computational editing may be exactly what the buyer wants. For journalism, evidence, product photography or personal records, preserve the original file and label altered versions. RAW files provide more editing latitude, but RAW does not make an image automatically accurate or immune to lens, focus and motion problems.
