Amazon Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6–7, 2026, and event deals require Prime membership. For UK shoppers, What Hi-Fi? reported three notable audio and home-cinema prices on October 6: Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones at £192, an LG 48-inch C5 OLED TV at £699, and the Hisense AX5125H Dolby Atmos soundbar system at £194. Treat these as reported prices, not guaranteed October 7 checkout offers: Amazon says deals are available only while supplies last.
Best reported UK audio and TV deals
The examples below are from What Hi-Fi?’s live roundup, updated October 6, 2026. They are UK pound-denominated offers and should not be confused with US listings or assumed to remain available at checkout.
| Product | Reported price | Reference price cited | What to consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sony WH-1000XM5 wireless headphones | £192 | £380 launch price | Previous-generation model; decide whether its features and fit meet your needs at this price. |
| LG 48-inch C5 OLED TV | £699 | £999 stated previous price | Previous-generation OLED, replaced by the newer C6; the 48-inch screen may suit smaller rooms. |
| Hisense AX5125H Dolby Atmos soundbar system | £194 | £249 stated previous price | Includes a soundbar, wireless satellites and a subwoofer; allow room for the additional speakers. |
What Hi-Fi? says its live page is maintained by its AV experts and that, except where it notes otherwise, the listed products have been reviewed, price-checked and recommended. That is the publication’s description of its process, not an independently audited methodology. Its live roundup, including the dated deal examples, is at What Hi-Fi?’s Big Deal Days 2026 audio and home-cinema deals page.
Which deal suits your setup?
Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones
At the reported £192 price, the WH-1000XM5 is a previous model, not Sony’s current flagship. Compare the model and its features with what you actually need—especially comfort and noise cancellation—rather than treating the launch-price comparison as proof that it is the right buy. The cited roundup does not establish that £192 will still be available at checkout.

LG 48-inch C5 OLED
The £699 report is for the 48-inch C5, not the newer C6. What Hi-Fi? describes the reduction from £999 as 30% and considers it strong value, but also says the C5 could fall further toward year-end. If you need a TV now and 48 inches fits your room, the reported price may be attractive; if you can wait and prioritize the newer generation or a lower price, waiting is reasonable.
Hisense AX5125H Dolby Atmos system
This is a multi-part system rather than a soundbar alone: What Hi-Fi? describes a central bar, wireless satellite speakers and a subwoofer. Check that the satellites and subwoofer suit your room and placement options. The reported £194 price returns to a level the roundup says the system reached during much of Black Friday 2025, so it is not presented there as a new all-time low.

How to judge a Big Deal Days price
- Check the live product page. Confirm the exact model, seller, final price and availability before ordering. Amazon says Big Deal Days offers are available only while supplies last.
- Review the price history. Amazon says product pages provide up to 365 days of pricing data. Use that history to compare the current offer with prior prices, rather than relying only on a crossed-out reference price or discount badge.
- Compare like with like. For headphones, check the exact model and whether its comfort and noise-cancelling features suit you. For a TV, weigh screen size and generation. For audio, compare a standalone bar with a package that adds satellites and a subwoofer.
- Decide whether timing matters. What Hi-Fi? explicitly notes that Black Friday 2026 is ahead and suggests some shoppers may prefer to wait. Waiting can make sense if your purchase is not urgent; it does not guarantee a lower price.
Amazon’s event FAQ confirms the October 6–7 dates, 48-hour duration and Prime-membership requirement. It gives the end time as 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7; offers remain subject to availability. See Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days 2026 FAQ for event details and its explanation of price history.
Other listings and markets
Amazon’s official deal roundup includes US-style listings such as JBL Tune 720BT and Bose QuietComfort headphones, a Roku 55-inch OLED, and an Amazon Ember 55-inch Mini-LED TV paired with Fire TV Soundbar Plus. Amazon advertises up to 44% off the Ember TV bundle; that is Amazon’s promotional claim, not an independently assessed discount. These examples show the event’s broader categories, but they are not substitutes for the UK prices above. Check Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days deal roundup for its listings.
