There is no single best 24-inch monitor for everyone: gaming speed, laptop connectivity, and comfortable office work call for different choices. For gaming, RTINGS’ 2026 guide points to the BenQ ZOWIE XQ2566X for competitive play and the Dell SE2426HGS or LG 24GS65F-B for less specialized options. For an office-and-laptop setup, TechRadar recommends the BenQ GW2486TC for its adjustable stand and USB-C charging. These are source-specific recommendations, not hands-on tests by iTechGuides; check the exact regional model and current listing before buying.
How to choose a 24-inch monitor
Start with the main job the display must do. High refresh rates and fast response behavior benefit gaming, while office setups often gain more from an adjustable stand, USB-C connectivity, and a sharper image for text. A monitor that excels at one task may be a poor fit for another.
- Gaming: Compare refresh rate, response behavior, variable refresh rate (VRR) support, and the resolution your graphics system can drive.
- Office and laptop use: Check stand adjustment, USB-C power delivery, hub features, brightness, and text sharpness.
- Color-oriented work: Separate manufacturer color specifications from independent measurements and professional validation.
“24-inch” is a rounded category rather than an exact size. DisplayNinja says its guide covers displays with actual diagonals from 23.5 to 24.5 inches and also includes some 25-inch alternatives. The recommendations below state the size reported by the relevant guide or manufacturer where available.

| Office and laptop use | BenQ GW2486TC | 24-inch; 1920×1080; 250 nits | TechRadar cites an adjustable stand, USB-C, and 65W power delivery. |

Best for competitive gaming: BenQ ZOWIE XQ2566X
RTINGS names the BenQ ZOWIE XQ2566X its best 24-inch monitor in its guide updated September 24, 2026. The guide lists a 24-inch TN panel, native 2560×1440 resolution, and a maximum refresh rate of 360Hz. RTINGS describes its response as very quick and says it supports VRR and optional backlight strobing for motion clarity. Read RTINGS’ 24-inch monitor recommendations.
This is a specialized pick for players who prioritize motion and competitive gaming. RTINGS also notes low contrast in dark rooms and narrow viewing angles, so it is less appealing for shared viewing or general office use. Backlight strobing can improve perceived motion clarity, but RTINGS warns it may produce image duplication. Its 1440p resolution is also a different trade-off from the more common 1080p choices in this size category: it can show finer detail, but gaming performance depends on whether your system can drive the game at the desired frame rate.

- CRISP CLARITY: This 23.8″ Philips V line monitor delivers crisp Full HD 1920x1080 visuals. Enjoy movies, shows and videos with remarkable detail
- INCREDIBLE CONTRAST: The VA panel produces brighter whites and deeper blacks. You get true-to-life images and more gradients with 16.7 million colors
- THE PERFECT VIEW: The 178/178 degree extra wide viewing angle prevents the shifting of colors when viewed from an offset angle, so you always get consistent colors
- WORK SEAMLESSLY: This sleek monitor is virtually bezel-free on three sides, so the screen looks even bigger for the viewer. This minimalistic design also allows for seamless multi-monitor setups that enhance your workflow and boost productivity
- A BETTER READING EXPERIENCE: For busy office workers, EasyRead mode provides a more paper-like experience for when viewing lengthy documents
Best value gaming option: Dell SE2426HGS
RTINGS names the Dell SE2426HGS its best cheap 24-inch monitor, listing an IPS panel, 1920×1080 resolution, and 240Hz refresh rate. RTINGS says the higher refresh rate and quick response make it smoother for gaming than the LG 24GS65F-B. It also notes the Dell is less bright, handles reflections less well, and has a less ergonomic stand than the LG. See RTINGS’ Dell SE2426HGS listing.
There is a model-number discrepancy to check before you order: DisplayNinja names the Dell SE2426HG, without the final “S,” as its best-value 24-inch monitor and lists it as a 23.8-inch, 1920×1080 IPS display with a 240Hz refresh rate. Do not assume SE2426HG and SE2426HGS are interchangeable; verify the suffix on the regional product page and listing. See DisplayNinja’s 24-inch monitor guide.

- Clear visuals. Fluid motion: A 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT deliver smooth, tear‑free motion across work, gaming, and streaming for clearer, more fluid viewing.
- Eye comfort: TÜV Rheinland 3‑star* certification reduces harmful blue light while preserving stunning color quality without compromise. *TÜV Rheinland 3-star eye comfort certification.
- Wide viewing angle: Get consistent views across a wide 178° /178° viewing angle.
- In-Plane Switching (IPS): See excellent color accuracy and consistency across wide viewing angles with In-plane Switching (IPS) technology.
- Ultra-thin bezels: Maximize your viewing experience with thin bezels.
Budget gaming with more flexibility for work: LG 24GS65F-B
RTINGS’ budget pick is the LG 24GS65F-B, listed in the 24-inch category with an IPS panel, 1920×1080 resolution, and 180Hz refresh rate. RTINGS says it is less smooth and has more motion blur than its BenQ top pick, but offers wider viewing angles and is more well-rounded for work than that gaming-focused alternative. The guide also notes lower pixel density than the 1440p BenQ option and more visible reflections. See RTINGS’ LG 24GS65F-B listing.
Consider this model if gaming matters but you also use the display for everyday work and value wider viewing angles. Its 1080p resolution is less fine-grained than 1440p at a similar size, and its motion handling is not as strong as the higher-end gaming option in RTINGS’ comparison.

- TÜV Rheinland certified Flicker Free and Low Blue Light — eliminating the ~200Hz screen flicker common on standard monitors and reducing harmful blue light exposure to minimize eye strain during extended gaming or work sessions.
- 144Hz high refresh rate delivers ultra-smooth motion and sharper tracking versus standard 60Hz or 75Hz monitors — keeping every frame fluid and responsive for fast-paced FPS, racing, and action games without screen tearing or stuttering.

Best for an office and laptop setup: BenQ GW2486TC
TechRadar’s 2026 business-monitor review describes the BenQ GW2486TC as a 24-inch, 1920×1080 display with 250-nit brightness, an adjustable stand, USB-C, and 65W power delivery. TechRadar recommends it for affordable office essentials and laptop charging, while noting that its 1080p image is less sharp than 1440p or 4K and that brightness is limited. Those are TechRadar’s review findings and assessment. Read TechRadar’s BenQ GW2486TC review.

Another office option: Dell P2425H
RTINGS lists the Dell P2425H as an entry-level work monitor with a USB hub. The same guide says it has a lower refresh rate and worse motion handling than the LG 24GS65F-B, making it less suitable for gaming. RTINGS’ listing does not establish additional specifications here, so check Dell’s current regional listing for panel, resolution, connectivity, and stand details before purchase. ViewSonic describes the VP2456A as a 23.8-inch-viewable Full HD IPS monitor with factory calibration, Delta E <2, 100% sRGB, and ergonomic adjustment. These are manufacturer claims, not independent test results; a color-critical workflow may require independent validation and calibration appropriate to the work. Check ViewSonic’s VP2456A product page.
The product page gives conflicting USB-C charging figures: a feature bullet says 60W, while overview text says 90W. Because those statements conflict, the wattage is not established here. Confirm it against a current manual or definitive support specification for the exact model and region if laptop charging is important.

DisplayNinja lists the BenQ XL2586X+ as an eSports-focused option with a 24.1-inch diagonal, TN panel, 1920×1080 resolution, and 600Hz refresh rate. It also lists the KTC H24T27 at 23.8 inches, with an IPS panel, 2560×1440 resolution, and 100Hz refresh rate. What to verify before buying
- Exact size and model: Match the full model name and suffix on the retailer listing to the manufacturer’s regional product page.
- Resolution and refresh: Choose 1080p for a common, easier-to-drive gaming configuration; consider 1440p when finer detail is more important and your system can support your intended gaming performance.
- Panel trade-offs: IPS models in these recommendations offer wider viewing angles, while RTINGS identifies the BenQ TN gaming pick’s narrow angles and low dark-room contrast as drawbacks.
- Work setup: Check stand adjustment, hub ports, USB-C compatibility, and the charging wattage against your laptop’s requirements.
- Price and stock: Both can change by retailer, date, and region. Compare current listings rather than relying on a guide’s category label or an old price.
RTINGS says its recommendations are based on monitors it buys and tests, and that its selection considers cost, relative performance, and ease of finding products; its guide covers currently available monitors in the United States. That stated scope does not guarantee a model is in stock today or available under the same name elsewhere. Review RTINGS’ current guide.
