The 2025 Razer Blade 14 with an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU measures 0.62 inches (15.7 mm) at its slimmest point—not across the entire chassis. Its thicker point is about 0.64 inches (16.2 mm). That makes it a notably thin, compact gaming laptop, but the trade-offs matter: the GPU is limited to up to 115 W, memory is onboard, and the 3K OLED display asks a lot of an 8 GB graphics chip in demanding games.

How thin and light is the 2025 Blade 14?

Razer lists the redesigned 2025 Blade 14 at 15.7 mm (0.62 inches) at its slimmest point. The chassis is not that height everywhere: Razer support and Notebookcheck’s independent specifications put the thickest point at about 16.2 mm (0.64 inches). Razer advertises a laptop weight of 1.63 kg; Notebookcheck measured its review unit at 1.615 kg without the power supply.

Notebookcheck lists the 2024 Blade 14 at 18 mm thick and 1.87 kg, compared with 16.2 mm and 1.62 kg for its 2025 review unit. The newer model therefore trims both height and weight while retaining a 14-inch gaming-laptop format. Notebookcheck praised its compactness and build quality, but noted that the black finish attracts fingerprints; a white Mercury option is also available.

Razer describes the chassis as T6-grade aluminum. The 0.62-inch headline figure is useful for understanding the design, but it should not be read as a measurement of the laptop at every point.

What does the RTX 5070 configuration include?

The RTX 5070 is a Laptop GPU, not a desktop RTX 5070. Razer announced the 2025 Blade 14 with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor and configurations up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with up to 115 W total graphics power (TGP). “Up to” describes the lineup’s ceiling; check the regional product listing to confirm the GPU and other specifications of the exact unit you are considering.

Specification Razer’s announced configuration Notebookcheck review unit
Processor AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 AMD Ryzen AI 9 365

Weight 1.63 kg advertised laptop weight 1.615 kg measured without power supply

Razer’s product lineup includes different configurations, so the announced maximum should not be assumed for every Blade 14. The review-unit details in the table describe Notebookcheck’s tested model, not every regional SKU.

How capable is the RTX 5070 at the OLED’s native resolution?

The 115 W power limit and 8 GB of graphics memory are important context for judging performance. An RTX 5070 label alone does not tell you how a thin laptop will perform: power limits, cooling, fan behavior, game settings, and resolution all affect results.

In its 2025 review, PC Gamer reported that an RTX 5070 Ti-equipped Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 generally led the Blade by roughly 10–20% when both were tested at full potential. PC Gamer also found that the Zephyrus could perform around the Blade’s level when its power was reduced to control noise. These are review findings under the publications’ test conditions, not a promise of the same gap in every game.

PC Gamer specifically cautioned that demanding games can be more challenging for the Blade’s 8 GB graphics chip at the OLED panel’s native 2880 × 1800 resolution. A high-resolution screen is attractive for detailed content, but buyers focused on demanding games may need to lower resolution or graphics settings rather than expect every title to run at native resolution with maximum settings.

What screen, memory, and ports do you get?

The 14-inch OLED panel runs at 2880 × 1800 and 120 Hz in Notebookcheck’s reviewed configuration; Razer describes it as a 3K 120 Hz OLED display. The display’s resolution and refresh rate suit a premium portable machine, though the native resolution can be demanding for the RTX 5070 in some games.

Memory deserves particular attention before purchase. Notebookcheck’s tested unit had 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 onboard memory, and the reviewer notes that it is not upgradeable. Razer offers configurations up to 64 GB, so choose the capacity you expect to need when selecting the machine rather than counting on a later RAM upgrade.

Razer’s announcement lists two USB4 Type-C ports, full-size HDMI 2.1, a UHS-II microSD reader, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Confirm the ports and wireless specifications against the listing for your market and exact configuration.

What should you expect from battery life?

Razer advertises up to 11 hours of on-screen time from the 72 Wh battery. That is a manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed runtime and not a gaming-battery estimate. Actual battery life depends on the workload, brightness, power settings, and other usage conditions; the advertised figure should not be used as a substitute for a workload-matched test.

Is the thin Blade 14 the right choice?

The 2025 Blade 14 is a strong fit for buyers who want a compact aluminum 14-inch gaming laptop with an OLED screen and are willing to select their memory capacity up front. Its slim point and advertised 1.63 kg weight make portability central to the design.

It is less straightforward for shoppers who prioritize maximum sustained graphics performance, upgradeable memory, or gaming at the OLED’s full resolution without adjusting settings. Compare alternatives such as the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 using the specific models’ GPU power limits and graphics memory, sustained performance and fan noise, weight and thickness, display resolution, memory capacity and upgradeability, comparable battery tests, ports, and current same-region price. Notebookcheck notes that the G14 models in its comparison were slightly lighter; that does not by itself establish which model is the better choice for a particular buyer.
