Nick Dearman, a Texas-based Hanuman devotee and holistic health coach, drew attention online after posting a fast recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa to Instagram. News outlets highlighted one viewer’s reaction: “He chants the Hanuman Chalisa better than me.”
Who is the Texas man reciting the Hanuman Chalisa?
Indian news reports identify the man as Nick Dearman and describe him as Texas-based; one report calls him Texas-born. Hindustan Times and Times of India describe him as a Hanuman devotee and holistic health coach. The clip was reportedly shared on his Instagram account, @neurodivergent_nick.
What happens in the rapid-recitation video?
Hindustan Times reported on October 2, 2026, that Dearman shared the clip the previous month. At the start, he says: “I slept in a little bit this morning so I will have to do the speed version of the Hanuman Chalisa and I would like to bring you along with me.” He then recites the hymn quickly. Times of India described the performance as a 2x-speed recitation, saying he maintained the rhythm. India Today reported that his caption read, “You can Google the lyrics.” These details are reported by the outlets; the Instagram post itself was not independently verified.
Times of India reported more than 1.4 million views on October 3, 2026. That is the outlet’s dated count, not a live or independently checked view total.

What did viewers say?
Hindustan Times and Times of India reproduced an anonymous viewer comment: “He chants the Hanuman Chalisa better than me.” The phrase is a commenter’s reaction, not a quote from a named interview.
The outlets also quoted a joking response: “Dear diary, today I heard Hanuman chalisa recited by a white guy and it was actually really nice. The ancestors are confused.” Other anonymous comments they reproduced included “You are amazing. This filled my heart with joy,” and “I’m so proud to see your devotion to Hanuman Ji.” Times of India also reported a commenter writing, “Jai Hanuman.” These are examples selected by the outlets, not evidence of what all Indian viewers thought.
