A video of Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 14.3.10 in downtown stop-and-go traffic shows the car handling split lanes, sudden braking, late cut-ins and a merge that its driver says had caused trouble in earlier tests. Reviewer Matt, who posts as FrunkToTrunk, described the behavior as patient: in his view, it did not cut the line and let other cars in. That is one driver’s account of one drive—not evidence that Hurry mode is consistently courteous or that the software has improved overall.
What happened in the downtown drive?
The Cool Down reported the drive on October 3, 2026. Matt’s video and account describe version 14.3.10 navigating downtown rush-hour conditions that included stop-and-go traffic, split lanes, sudden braking and vehicles cutting in late. He also pointed to a merge he said had challenged the car in previous tests. The Cool Down’s report does not provide a complete route record or a reproducible test protocol.
Matt’s assessment was that the car behaved patiently rather than trying to push ahead. As quoted in the report, he said: “Not too shabby. The cool thing that you might have not noticed is how patient the self-driving is. It did not try to cut the line. It let cars in. Not too bad.” That is his interpretation of the footage, not a standardized measure of courtesy or performance. The Cool Down reproduced his reaction.

What the video does—and does not—show
The account offers a useful look at how one vehicle behaved in a set of challenging traffic situations, but it does not establish a success rate or prove a broad change in FSD behavior.

- UPSCALED 4K FRONT + 1080P REAR DUAL DASH CAM: The ROVE R2-4K DUAL records the road ahead and behind at the same time. The front camera captures at 2.5K (QHD) and intelligently upscales to 4K (2160P) for higher-detail playback, while the rear camera records at Full HD 1080P. This is upscaled 4K, not native 4K, engineered to show sharper everyday detail than standard 1080P dash cams, so you can read license plates, signs, and surroundings in front and rear footage.
- SONY STARVIS 2 IMX675 SENSOR + SUPER NIGHT VISION: The front camera uses a Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 5MP image sensor with a wide F1.5 aperture (F1.8 rear) and HDR to pull in more light for clearer low-light footage. This advanced sensor enhances nighttime clarity, helping capture license plates, road signs, and surrounding vehicles with greater reliability when driving after dark, through tunnels, or in dusk and dawn conditions.
- ULTRA FAST 5.8GHz WIFI/ UP TO 20MB/s DOWNLOAD SPEED: With its built-in dual-band 5.8GHz and 2.4GHz WiFi, you can use the ROVE dash cam app to view and manage dash cam recordings instantly on your iPhone and Android smartphone. Using the ROVE app, download your recorded videos directly to your smartphone at up to 20 MB/sec, then easily share them on social media with friends and family. Additionally, manage camera settings and update the latest firmware over-the-air via the ROVE App.
- CAR CAMERA WITH GPS: The new front and rear dashcam comes with built-in GPS, which enables you to view real-time live speed and compass on the 3” IPS wide camera screen. It records precise driving routes, locations, and speed stamps directly on the video so you can watch dashcam videos with GPS data using ROVE's free GPS Player on your PC or Mac & get additional evidence when you need it.
- FEATURES WITH STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY INCLUDED: Experience peace of mind with this front and rear car dash cam. It comes with a free 128GB microSD card and offers advanced features such as an f1.5 aperture, motion detection, G-sensor, seamless loop recording, emergency video lock, screen saver, live speed and compass direction, voice guidance, ring of threads for optional CPL filter, a built-in supercapacitor for extended product life, support for up to 1TB microSD cards, and many more.
- Scenarios described: stop-and-go traffic, split lanes, sudden braking, late cut-ins and a merge Matt said had been problematic in earlier tests.
- Not quantified: the report gives no number of successful merges, driver interventions or disengagements, and no route length or comparative performance figures.
- No controlled comparison: without a matching route, conditions, vehicle configuration and intervention record from another version or drive, the account cannot verify that 14.3.10 is an improvement.
There is also a counterpoint: owners discussing FSD 14.3.10 have reported repeated or unnecessary lane changes in Hurry mode. Those posts reflect individual experiences; they do not show how common the behavior is or establish a safety finding. The October 2, 2026 owner discussion is anecdotal, just like the favorable impression from the downtown drive.
Hurry mode is still supervised driver assistance
Tesla describes Full Self-Driving (Supervised) as a driver-assistance feature, not autonomous driving. The company says drivers must remain attentive and responsible for control; it also states, “None of these advanced driver assistance features make your Tesla vehicle fully autonomous or replace you as the driver.” Tesla’s Canada support page says supervised FSD can make lane changes, choose navigation forks, navigate around vehicles and objects, and make turns. Which features are available depends on factors including vehicle configuration, hardware, software version, region, model, trim and model year.

- [24-hour Parking Monitoring*] REDTIGER Car dashboard camera offers G-Sensor Parking Mode that automatically record when it detects any collisions or sudden motion while vehicles is parked. Time Lapse Parking Mode provides continuous surveillance by offering a condensed overview of any events that may occur during parking periods. *Please note that the parking monitoring function requires a separate hardwire kit.
That context matters in rush-hour traffic: a video showing the car making decisions does not transfer responsibility away from the person behind the wheel. The driver remains responsible for monitoring the road and the vehicle’s speed and control.
How to read this version 14.3.10 report
The fairest takeaway is narrow: in the drive described by Matt and The Cool Down, the car appeared patient to the reviewer while encountering several difficult downtown traffic situations. The report does not include a named performance statistic or an official Tesla comment on this particular drive. It therefore supports neither a general claim that Hurry mode behaves courteously nor a claim that version 14.3.10 has measurably improved.
