The DPI figure most often reported for the VALORANT player TenZ is 1600. His in-game sensitivity is less settled. Published profiles pair 1600 DPI with values between 0.08 and 0.201, which produce eDPI figures from 128 to 321.6. No single pair can be called his current setup without a dated statement from TenZ or his team, and none was found for this article. This guide explains what each figure means, where the numbers come from, and how to apply a reported setting to your own mouse without assuming it will improve your aim.
What DPI TenZ is reported to use
DPI (dots per inch) is the number of counts your mouse sensor reports for each inch of physical movement. Every profile reviewed for this article lists 1600 DPI, so that is the most consistent value in the published record. It is still a reported setting from third-party pages, not a live value confirmed by TenZ.
TenZ’s reported sensitivity and eDPI
In VALORANT, players usually describe their setup with two numbers: DPI and in-game sensitivity. Multiplying them gives eDPI (effective DPI), a single figure for comparing how far the mouse must move to turn the view. The table below lists each published profile with its date and the qualification that applies to it.
| Source | Reported DPI | In-game sensitivity | Reported eDPI | Date and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Liquipedia | 1600 | 0.08 | 128 | Mouse settings last updated 2024-01-28. Community-maintained profile, not a statement from TenZ. |
| VPEsports | 1600 | 0.173 | 276.8 | Update date not stated on the page reviewed. |
| Charlie INTEL | 1600 | 0.201 | 321.6 | Article published about three years before this guide was written, so likely a historical setting. |
| SensLab | 1600 | 0.12 | 192 | Search listing shows an update dated October 2026. Third-party site, not a primary confirmation. |
Why the published numbers disagree
Several differences in the sources explain the spread, and each one changes how a value should be read.
#1 Best Overall
- The next-generation optical HERO sensor delivers incredible performance and up to 10x the power efficiency over previous generations, with 400 IPS precision and up to 12,000 DPI sensitivity
- Ultra-fast LIGHTSPEED wireless technology gives you a lag-free gaming experience, delivering incredible responsiveness and reliability with 1 ms report rate for competition-level performance
- G305 wireless mouse boasts an incredible 250 hours of continuous gameplay on just 1 AA battery; switch to Endurance mode via Logitech G HUB software and extend battery life up to 9 months
- Wireless does not have to mean heavy, G305 lightweight mouse provides high maneuverability coming in at only 3.4 oz thanks to efficient lightweight mechanical design and ultra-efficient battery usage
- The durable, compact design with built-in nano receiver storage makes G305 not just a great portable desktop mouse, but also a great laptop travel companion, use with a gaming laptop and play anywhere
- Different dates. A 2023-era article and a page updated in 2024 or 2026 can describe different periods of a player’s career. Sensitivity is often changed over time, so an older value may no longer match.
- Different maintainers. Wiki and community pages are edited by outside contributors. Their values can be accurate for a given date but are not confirmed by the player.
- Undated pages. Some profiles do not show when their values were recorded, which makes them hard to compare with the others.
The defensible statement is that 1600 DPI recurs across the reported profiles, while the in-game sensitivity differs among them.
DPI, sensitivity, and eDPI explained
DPI controls how far the pointer moves on the physical mouse. In-game sensitivity controls how far the view turns for each pointer movement. Changing either one changes the result, which is why a DPI figure alone does not describe a setup.

- HERO Gaming Sensor: Next generation HERO mouse sensor delivers precision tracking up to 25600 DPI with zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration
- 11 programmable buttons and dual mode hyper-fast scroll wheel: The Logitech wired gaming mouse gives you fully customizable control over your gameplay
- Adjustable weights: Match your playing style. Arrange up to five 3.6 g weights for a personalized weight and balance configuration
- LIGHTSYNC technology: Logitech G LIGHTSYNC technology provides fully customizable RGB lighting that can also synchronize with your gaming (requires Logitech Gaming Software)
- Mechanical Switch Button Tensioning: A metal spring tensioning system and metal pivot hinges are built into left and right computer gaming mouse buttons for a crisp, clean click feel with rapid click feedback
Using the table values, the arithmetic is simple. At 1600 DPI, a sensitivity of 0.173 gives 1600 × 0.173 = 276.8 eDPI, and 0.08 gives 1600 × 0.08 = 128. Two players with the same eDPI can feel different because of other factors, including their mouse, mousepad, grip, and how they have trained. eDPI is a comparison tool, not a measure of skill.

Raw input in VALORANT
Raw input sends mouse movement to the game without some operating-system processing. Riot’s official patch notes document how the game handles it.

- Next-gen 12,000 DPI HERO optical sensor delivers unrivaled gaming performance, accuracy and power efficiency
- Advanced LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming mouse for super-fast 1 ms response time and faster than wired performance
- Ultra-long battery life gives you up to 250 hours of continuous gaming on a single AA battery
- Lightweight mechanical design and classic shape for maximum maneuverability, durability and comfort
- Compact, portable design with convenient built-in storage for included USB wireless receiver
- Patch 3.07 (2021-10-05): Riot wrote: “VALORANT has used Raw Input for devices since launch.” The notes say enabling Raw Input Buffer changes which APIs process raw input. Riot expected minor performance improvement with identical input latency on standard devices and gaming mice, and a major improvement with 8000 Hz polling mice.
- Patch 7.12 (2023-12-05): Riot removed the beta label and set the option to on by default.
- Patch 11.06 (2025-09-16): Riot removed the RawInputBuffer setting from user configuration and kept it enabled.
For current VALORANT versions, you do not need to change this option manually.
How to apply a reported setting
- Confirm that your mouse supports adjustable DPI. Open the vendor’s software for your mouse and find the DPI or sensitivity stage settings. Set one stage to 1600 if you want to match the reported value.
- In VALORANT, open Settings and go to the mouse section. Enter the in-game sensitivity from the profile you are following, such as 0.173.
- Calculate eDPI as DPI × in-game sensitivity so you can compare it with other profiles. For 1600 and 0.173, the result is 276.8.
- Play in a practice or custom setting for a few sessions before judging the change. Record any differences in tracking or flick accuracy so you can revert if the new value feels worse.
Copying a professional’s setting gives you a starting point. It does not prove the setting improves aim, and it does not replace adjusting to your own hand size, grip, and desk space.

Gear mentioned in the reported profiles
Liquipedia lists a Pulsar TenZ SE mouse, and VPEsports names a Pulsar TenZ Signature Edition. Both are reported gear. You do not need that specific mouse to set 1600 DPI. Any mouse with adjustable DPI stages can do so. Check current model names, availability, and prices before buying, since product listings change.

What the evidence does not show
The published sources do not establish that TenZ’s current DPI or sensitivity is any particular value. They also do not show that using his settings improves performance. No named statistics or statements from TenZ about his setup were found. If an official confirmation appears, it would supersede the values listed here.
Use the reported values as a documented reference point. Verify them against a dated statement before treating them as current.
