The TECO TPO35HFWET is a portable reverse-cycle air conditioner that TECO rates at 3.5kW for cooling and 3.2kW for heating. The manufacturer lists Wi-Fi, a remote, a washable filter and a window ventilation kit, but those are specification claims—not independent test findings. CHOICE’s public listing marks the model discontinued; its detailed performance scores are behind member access, so the available evidence does not support a tested performance verdict.
What kind of air conditioner is the TPO35HFWET?
TECO Australia describes the TPO35HFWET as a portable reverse-cycle air conditioner. It offers cooling and heating as well as fan, dehumidifying and AUTO modes. Castors allow it to be moved, but cooling and heating require the exhaust arrangement to be set up through a suitable window. TECO says a ventilation kit is included, with a 1.5m exhaust duct. TECO product specifications
The term “reverse-cycle” means the unit is specified to provide both cooling and heating. TECO’s published capacities are 3.5kW cooling and 3.2kW heating; those ratings do not establish how quickly it will condition a particular room or how it performs in independent testing.

Is there an independent performance verdict?
CHOICE’s accessible page identifies the TPO35HFWET as a reverse-cycle model and displays “Discontinued model” alongside a listed price of A$1,049. Its expert rating, cooling score, energy-efficiency score and high-fan noise result are members-only on that page. The public information therefore does not reveal those scores or establish a performance outcome. The A$1,049 listing should not be treated as a current price. CHOICE listing

Is the TPO35HFWET discontinued, and can you still buy it?
CHOICE labels it discontinued, while TECO’s portable-air-conditioner category page still lists the model. A catalog entry is not proof that retailers have stock, and the two listings do not confirm current availability. Check with the seller before making plans to buy, and confirm the warranty terms that apply to the specific unit and seller. CHOICE listing TECO portable air conditioners

Confirm the window and exhaust arrangement
TECO says the ventilation kit and 1.5m exhaust duct are included. Before buying, check that the proposed installation can route the duct through a suitable window and that the supplied kit fits your window arrangement. Consult the product manual for setup and drainage instructions; do not assume the stated duct length or included kit suits every room.

Check the manual, warranty and support terms
TECO links a user manual for the TPO35C(H)FWET, with 2024-07-19 in the filename, as well as warranty documents. The product page states a two-year manufacturer warranty and describes an Australian service network and spare parts. Read the applicable warranty document and confirm coverage with the seller for your purchase and region. Follow the manual for the washable filter’s cleaning interval and procedure rather than relying on a generic schedule. TECO product page, manual and warranty links
