The Tecno Pova Curve 5G is a compelling India-market choice if you want a slim phone with a curved 144Hz AMOLED display, smooth everyday performance, and fast charging. Its compromises are just as important: curved edges can be awkward, outdoor visibility is weak in harsh sun, cameras are inconsistent, storage cannot be expanded, and Tecno’s software-update commitment needs confirmation.
What the Pova Curve 5G offers
Launched in India on 29 May 2025, the Pova Curve 5G combines a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display (1080 × 2436 resolution, up to 144Hz), a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor, a 5,500mAh battery, and 45W wired charging. Launch coverage lists a 64MP rear main camera, a 13MP front camera, and an IP64 rating. What stands out in daily use
Curved AMOLED looks and feels premium
91mobiles found the screen vivid and scrolling smooth, making it one of the phone’s clearest strengths. The trade-off is practical: curved edges are more prone to accidental touches and can make screen protectors harder to fit than flat glass. Gadgets 360 also found the display difficult to read in harsh Delhi sunlight. If you often use your phone outdoors, that matters more than the headline refresh rate. Responsive for routine use; gaming depends on settings
Both reviews describe smooth everyday performance. Their gaming results, however, came from different settings and should not be collapsed into a single expected frame rate. 91mobiles reports that BGMI could reach an Ultra frame-rate setting only with graphics quality set to Low. Gadgets 360 reports 80–85fps in its BGMI test using Smooth graphics and Extreme+ frame rate. As one unit-specific benchmark reference, 91mobiles recorded 3,152 in Geekbench’s multi-core test, 684,142 in AnTuTu, and a 75.0% Burnout score. Cameras are serviceable, not consistently strong
91mobiles found daylight photos detailed and natural-looking, but said low-light shots suffer without optical image stabilisation (OIS), and indoor selfies can look soft. Gadgets 360 also judged the cameras decent overall while noting portrait limitations. The front and rear cameras support 4K recording at 30fps, according to 91mobiles. Battery and charging are headline strengths
The 5,500mAh capacity and 45W wired charging are strong on paper. TECNO claims 27 minutes to reach 50% and 59 minutes to reach 100%. In Gadgets 360’s review-unit test using the included charger, the phone reached 60% in 30 minutes and charged fully in about 50 minutes. What to weigh before buying
Storage depends on the exact listing
There is no microSD card slot, so the capacity you buy is the capacity you will have. India launch coverage listed 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB models. A Gadgets 360 price page accessed on 7 October 2026 also listed an 8GB/256GB option. Software support is not firmly established
Gadgets 360 reports one major OS upgrade and two years of security updates, but its review also uses conflicting wording about the length of OS-update support. TECNO’s product page does not resolve that discrepancy. If you plan to keep the phone for several years, ask TECNO or the seller for the written update commitment that applies to your country and SKU rather than relying on an unverified duration. Some display and convenience limitations are easy to miss
- Gadgets 360 reports no official Netflix HDR support.
- 91mobiles notes there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.

At launch on 29 May 2025, Gadgets 360 reported prices of ₹15,999 for 6GB/128GB and ₹16,999 for 8GB/128GB, with sales reported to begin on 5 June 2025. Its price page showed a starting price of ₹14,999 on 7 October 2026 and listed 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB configurations.
