The TECNO POVA 7 Pro 5G stands out on display resolution, refresh rate, battery capacity and wireless charging; the vivo T4R 5G lists IP68/IP69 protection, optical image stabilization on its main camera and a higher-resolution selfie camera. Neither is an across-the-board winner on specifications alone, and the available India price listings do not establish a reliable current price gap.

The product specifications come from TECNO’s POVA 7 Pro 5G specifications and vivo India’s T4R parameters. TECNO’s global specifications note that memory configurations can vary by market; check the exact India variant before comparing prices. Extended RAM, where offered, is software-assisted and is not the same as physical RAM.
Which display is better on paper?
TECNO lists the sharper, faster-refreshing panel: its 6.78-inch AMOLED is 2720 × 1224 and 144Hz, compared with the vivo’s 6.77-inch, 2392 × 1080 AMOLED at 120Hz. That makes the POVA 7 Pro the more compelling specification match if resolution and refresh rate are priorities. These figures do not, by themselves, establish differences in brightness, color accuracy or the smoothness you will experience in every app.
How do the cameras compare?
vivo specifies optical image stabilization (OIS) for the T4R’s 50MP main camera, while TECNO lists a 64MP + 8MP rear-camera setup. OIS is a concrete feature difference, but megapixel counts and camera specifications alone cannot determine which phone takes better photos. For selfies, vivo lists a 32MP front camera versus TECNO’s 13MP; that resolution difference is not an image-quality verdict.

Battery, charging and protection
TECNO lists a 6000mAh battery, 45W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. vivo lists a 5700mAh battery and 44W charging. The listed capacities favor TECNO, and wireless charging is a feature it specifies that the cited vivo page does not list. The nearly matched wired wattages do not establish charging times or real-world battery life.
For protection, vivo’s specifications state IP68 and IP69. The manufacturer describes testing under controlled laboratory conditions to IEC 60529–2013, including an IP68 static-water test up to 1.5m for 30 minutes and separate hot-water-jet conditions for IP69. This is not a reason to deliberately expose a phone to water. TECNO’s cited specification page does not state an IP rating, which is not proof that the phone has no water resistance.

Do the processor names settle performance?
The T4R lists the MediaTek Dimensity 7400, while the POVA 7 Pro lists the Dimensity 7300 Ultimate. The vivo chip has the higher model number, but that alone does not prove a real-world performance advantage. The available specifications do not provide a comparable head-to-head benchmark or controlled performance test, so choose between these phones using your workload and other verified priorities rather than assuming a winner from the chip names.

A Gadgets 360 price page marked updated 10 September 2026 listed the POVA 7 Pro 5G from ₹17,299 and showed it as unavailable. TECNO India’s listing showed ₹18,999 for a selected 8GB/128GB configuration and marked it sold out. These are dated, variant-dependent observations—not a live quote or a dependable price range. vivo India’s newsroom confirms that the T4R was included in a Series T festive offer, but the announcement excerpt does not state a T4R-specific price. It therefore does not support an exact current price gap. Before deciding, compare the same RAM and storage configuration for both phones and check current stock and seller pricing; the vivo festive-offer announcement is not a like-for-like T4R quote.

- Consider the TECNO POVA 7 Pro 5G if you prioritize its listed 1.5K-resolution 144Hz display, larger battery capacity, wireless charging, NFC, infrared remote sensor or Dolby Atmos dual speakers.
- Consider the vivo T4R 5G if you prioritize its stated IP68/IP69 ratings, OIS on the main camera, 32MP front camera, Wi-Fi 6 or Bluetooth 5.4.
- Compare the exact India variant and current price if value is the deciding factor. Storage options differ, and the available TECNO listings showed unavailable or sold-out status while a T4R-specific offer price was not established.
These are specification-based fits, not test-backed judgments about camera results, durability in everyday use, battery life or overall speed.
