As of 6 October 2026, TechRadar TV Hardware Staff Writer James Davidson’s three favorite TVs he had tested that year were the LG C6, Sony Bravia 7 II and Samsung S95H/S99H. His picks span two OLEDs and an RGB mini-LED, with the LG positioned as the best all-round value, the Sony as a vivid-color gaming option, and the Samsung as a premium OLED with high-refresh-rate features. These are Davidson’s assessments, not independent test results.
How the three TVs compare
| Model | Display approach | Davidson’s positioning | Gaming details reported by TechRadar |
|---|---|---|---|
| LG C6 | OLED | Best all-round pick and value option | Gaming features are praised, but the article does not state comparable specifications here. |
| Sony Bravia 7 II | RGB mini-LED | Vivid color with strong gaming support | 4K at 120Hz, VRR, ALLM and PlayStation 5-oriented features; 10.4 ms input lag reported by Davidson. |
| Samsung S95H/S99H | OLED | Premium OLED with a broad feature set | 4K at 165Hz, four HDMI 2.1 ports, VRR, HDR10+ gaming and ALLM; 9.5 ms input lag reported by Davidson. |
LG C6: the all-round value choice
Davidson called the C6 “the best TV I’ve tested in 2026 so far.” He praised its bright, accurate color, strong contrast, sports motion handling and crisp textures across movies, television and games. He also highlighted its built-in sound and gaming features. TechRadar’s 6 October 2026 article says the C6 is brighter than its predecessor, the C5, and that Davidson found its processor faster and its picture more accurate and engaging in side-by-side testing. He noted that the launch price remained the same as the prior model’s launch price; that comparison does not establish today’s price or current value against competing TVs.
Sony Bravia 7 II: RGB color and gaming support
Davidson said his experience with 2026 RGB mini-LED TVs was mixed overall, but the Bravia 7 II impressed him. It sits below Sony’s Bravia 9 II flagship in the brand’s RGB range. He praised its black levels, contrast, brightness and especially vivid color. TechRadar lists 4K 120Hz, variable refresh rate (VRR), auto low latency mode (ALLM) and PlayStation 5-oriented features; Davidson reported 10.4 ms input lag. That figure is the reviewer’s reported measurement, not an independently verified result here.
Samsung S95H/S99H: premium OLED, with a regional naming trap
TechRadar presents the S95H as Samsung’s 2026 flagship OLED and uses S99H for the corresponding featured model in the UK. Davidson praised the featured model’s color, skin-tone accuracy, contrast, black levels and anti-glare screen. The silver frame or bezel may not suit every room or taste.

Check the exact UK model
There is a separate UK television also called S95H. TechRadar warns that this model has lower brightness, no bezel and Wi-Fi 5, unlike the US S95H/UK S99H featured in the article, which has Wi-Fi 6. Match the full model identity to your country and verify the listing before buying or linking to a product.
Gaming features
For the featured S95H/S99H, TechRadar lists four HDMI 2.1 ports, 4K 165Hz, VRR, HDR10+ gaming, ALLM and a game hub. Davidson reported 9.5 ms input lag. As with the Sony figure, this is the reviewer’s reported measurement rather than an independent test result here.

Which one fits your priorities?
- Choose the LG C6 if: you want the strongest broad-use option among Davidson’s picks, with his emphasis on value, picture quality, motion handling and built-in sound.
- Consider the Sony Bravia 7 II if: vivid RGB mini-LED color and the listed PlayStation 5-oriented gaming features are priorities.
- Consider the Samsung S95H/S99H if: you want a premium OLED with the listed 165Hz gaming support and multiple HDMI 2.1 ports, and have confirmed the right regional model.
Davidson’s article mentioned US and UK retailer offers for all three TVs on 6 October 2026, but those were dated deal references, not dependable current prices or availability. Check live retailer listings for your region rather than treating those offers as ongoing.
