TCL introduced the NXTFRAME in North America on August 5, 2024 as a lifestyle television designed to look like framed artwork when it is not showing a program. The concept combines a thin, integrated television chassis, matte anti-reflective screen, magnetic decorative frame and included flush wall mount with Google TV, gaming features and built-in art modes.
What TCL NXTFRAME is
NXTFRAME is TCL’s A300W lifestyle-TV family. It is not a separate art panel connected to an external media box: TCL describes the electronics as integrated into the television body. The North American launch included standard A300W and A300W Pro versions in 55-, 65-, 75- and 85-inch sizes. TCL announced the 55- and 65-inch standard models first, with the larger standard sets and Pro models expected in September 2024. That was launch timing, not confirmation of what is sold today.
European availability was announced separately at IFA on September 5, 2024, with select markets and sizes up to 75 inches. European configurations should therefore not be assumed to match the North American range.
Design: built to resemble wall art
Thin integrated body
TCL’s North American announcement gives the standard set a depth of 1.1 inches, increasing to 1.2 inches for the 85-inch version. TCL Global specifically describes a 27.9 mm body for the 55- and 65-inch A300W models, so that metric should not be extended to every size or region.

Matte screen and included frame
The display has a matte, anti-reflective finish intended to reduce the mirror-like appearance common to glossy televisions. TCL specifies an off-white bezel and a light-wood magnetic frame included with the North American set. TCL Global calls the included A300-series finish Dawn Birch and lists Twilight Elm and Vernal Mint as optional frame colors in its product information.
Wall mounting and stands
TCL’s North American launch description includes a flush wall mount. TCL Support identifies movable floor stands and table stands as separate purchases; TCL Global also lists optional floor or cabinet stands. Exact accessory model compatibility depends on the regional product and screen size, so confirm the SKU with TCL or the retailer before ordering.

How the art features work
Curated and AI-generated art
TCL says NXTFRAME can show a preloaded art library, adjustable matting styles and AI-generated artwork. In TCL’s launch description, AI Art creates a customized image after the user answers questions. These are TCL-described functions rather than independently tested claims about image quality or artistic results.

Your own photos
Personal images use a different path from TCL’s curated or AI art. TCL Support’s T-Exhibition guidance says personal-photo slideshows use Google TV Ambient Mode and Google Photos, with static and motion gallery options. The support documentation warns that features vary by model, software build and region.

When the artwork disappears
TCL Support notes that screen-timeout and power-saving settings can interrupt an art display, and that internet problems can affect online content. Check the television’s power, ambient-mode and timeout settings if the artwork does not remain visible.

NXTFRAME versus NXTFRAME Pro
The clearest distinction is audio. The standard A300W uses the television’s built-in audio system. The Pro is described as an integrated package with a matching wireless 3.1.2 soundbar and subwoofer co-engineered by TCL and Bang & Olufsen. TCL Europe lists 230 W maximum sound power for its Pro system and describes the standard A300W as Dolby Atmos 2.0 and DTS compatible; those details are market-specific.

Which size and setup make sense?
Choose the size for the viewing distance
Pick the screen size using your room dimensions and normal seating distance, then decide whether the framed-art effect justifies the additional cost over a conventional television. The launch range spans 55 to 85 inches in North America, while TCL’s European announcement covered select markets up to 75 inches.
Choose standard or Pro by audio needs
The standard model is the simpler choice if you already use a receiver, soundbar or headphones. The Pro is aimed at buyers who want the matching wireless sound system integrated into the NXTFRAME concept and are willing to pay the higher launch-tier price.
Choose wall mounting or freestanding placement
Use the included flush mount for the closest framed-picture appearance. A floor or table stand is a separate purchase, and compatibility should be verified for the exact regional model and size.
What is established—and what is not
TCL’s announcements establish the design concept, announced features, launch model families and historical launch pricing. They do not establish current availability, current prices, active retail stock, measured picture performance, measured reflections, energy use in art mode or a tested comparison with Samsung The Frame or another art television. Those points require up-to-date retailer information or independent testing.
