The TCL 75P7LS is a 75-inch 4K QLED Google TV with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG support, one HDMI 2.1 input and two HDMI 2.0 inputs, according to TCL’s Australian specification sheet. Its headline numbers are manufacturer claims. This article does not report independent lab or hands-on measurements, and we could not confirm a performance score from a published review, so the sections below separate what TCL states from what a buyer still needs to test or verify.
Key specifications at a glance
The table lists each figure with the source it comes from. Where a source is a marketing page rather than a specification sheet, the table says so.
| Feature | TCL 75P7LS (75-inch) | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Panel type | QLED with HVA 2.0 panel | TCL marketing page; panel branding, not an independent teardown |
| Resolution | 3840 × 2160 (4K) | TCL Australia specification sheet |
| Operating system | Google TV | TCL Australia specification sheet |
| Refresh rate | 60 Hz panel, labelled DLG 120 | TCL Australia specification sheet |
| HDMI inputs | 1 × HDMI 2.1, 2 × HDMI 2.0 | TCL Australia specification sheet (Australian model) |
| HDR formats | HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG | TCL Australia specification sheet |
| Audio formats | Dolby Atmos | TCL marketing page |
| Peak brightness | 350 nits | TCL Australia specification sheet; manufacturer claim |
| Typical contrast | 6000:1 | TCL Australia specification sheet; manufacturer claim |
| Grey-to-grey response | 6.5 ms | TCL Australia specification sheet; manufacturer claim |
| Speakers | 2 × 15 W, 2.0 system | TCL Australia specification sheet; TCL New Zealand confirms the 75-inch model uses 2.0 speakers |
| Wide colour gamut | Up to 93% DCI-P3 | TCL laboratory figure, test year not stated; TCL notes results vary by test environment and standard |
| Wall mount | Not included; VESA 300 × 300 mm | TCL Australia specification sheet (bracket excluded); Costco Australia listing (VESA size) |
| Warranty | 36 months | TCL Australia support page; applies to Australia only |
The “120” label does not mean a 120 Hz panel
TCL lists the 75-inch 75P7LS with a 60 Hz panel and a separate “DLG 120” label. The label is a TCL marketing figure. The specification sheet does not describe the panel as natively running at 120 Hz, so buyers who need a true 120 Hz display should not rely on the badge alone. Motion-handling claims, including any gaming-related modes, have not been measured independently in the sources available for this review.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesHDMI 2.1: one port, not two
The Australian model has one HDMI 2.1 input and two HDMI 2.0 inputs. That count matters if you plan to connect a current games console and a second high-bandwidth source at the same time. Check which port each device uses, and confirm that your source and cable support the features you want. HDMI 2.1 features depend on the port, the source device and the cable, so the presence of an HDMI 2.1 port alone does not guarantee any particular feature set.

Picture performance: what is claimed and what is missing
TCL’s figures put the 75P7LS in the modest-brightness range on paper. A 350-nit peak value and 6000:1 typical contrast are useful for comparing with other QLED sets, but they are manufacturer numbers and do not show how the screen handles bright rooms, black-level uniformity, blooming around bright objects or viewing angles. The 93% DCI-P3 figure is a TCL laboratory result, and TCL itself notes that different test environments and standards can produce different outcomes.
Independent measurements of brightness, contrast, blooming, input lag and viewing angles are not covered here. If you are choosing between this model and another 75-inch QLED set, compare the same measurements taken under the same conditions before deciding.

Sound
The 75-inch model uses a 2.0 speaker system rated at 2 × 15 W. TCL New Zealand says the ONKYO 2.1 system is offered on the 85-inch model, not the 75-inch. If you want a dedicated subwoofer or a stronger audio setup, plan on a soundbar or external speakers, and make sure you do not buy for the 85-inch sound specification by mistake.
Price depends on your region
TCL’s product pages list different recommended retail prices by country: A$1,699 in Australia and NZ$2,999 in New Zealand. These are advertised RRPs, not current street prices. Retailers discount them, and the dates on the pages did not indicate how current the prices are. Compare prices at local retailers before deciding, and use the figures here only as a reference point.

Wall mounting
The wall bracket is not included with the set. The Costco Australia listing gives a VESA pattern of 300 × 300 mm, which is the mounting size to match when you buy a bracket. Confirm that the bracket’s load rating covers the television’s weight and that the mounting location suits the screen’s size and your wall construction before you install it.
Warranty and support
TCL Australia lists a 36-month warranty for the Australian market. Warranty terms in New Zealand and other regions may differ, so check the terms that apply where you bought the set.

Who this TV suits
The TCL 75P7LS suits buyers who want a 75-inch 4K QLED set with Google TV, HDR support and a single HDMI 2.1 port, and who are comfortable with the 2.0 speaker setup. It is a weaker fit if you need a native 120 Hz panel, several HDMI 2.1 inputs or the 2.1 speaker system offered on TCL’s 85-inch model. Before buying, check local pricing, test the picture in the room where it will be used, and confirm the ports and mounting needs against your own setup.
