The TCL 75C7K is a 75-inch 4K QD-Mini LED television with a strong feature set on paper: 144 Hz native refresh, four HDMI 2.1 inputs, Google TV, and a 60 W Bang & Olufsen audio system. TCL Australia lists 1248 local-dimming zones and 3000 nits peak brightness for this size and market. Independent testing of a 65-inch C7K found very high brightness and vivid color, but also noted screen-uniformity issues; those measurements are not tests of the 75-inch model.
What is the TCL 75C7K?
The 75C7K is the 75-inch version of TCL’s C7K television family. TCL describes the family as QLED with Mini LED backlighting and a CrystGlow HVA panel. The Australia-specific 75-inch specification sheet identifies a 4K panel and 1248 full-array local-dimming zones. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. TCL Australia’s 75C7K product page and its specification sheet provide the regional details; TCL’s global C7K page describes the wider family.
How good is the picture?
The hardware points to a television designed for bright HDR highlights and high contrast: local dimming controls sections of the Mini LED backlight, while the QLED layer supports a wide range of color. TCL lists 3000 nits peak brightness and a 7000:1 contrast ratio for the Australian 75C7K. These are manufacturer-listed figures, not results from a test of this specific television. TCL notes that laboratory data can vary with testing environments and standards, and that product specifications may change. TCL Australia 75C7K specifications TCL global C7K page

TechRadar tested a 65-inch C7K, not the 75-inch 75C7K. In Filmmaker Mode, its sample reached 1,790 nits on a 10% white HDR window and 578 nits on a full-screen 100% white HDR window. In Standard mode, the same window patterns produced 2,784 nits and 678 nits, respectively. The mode and window size matter: small highlights can be much brighter than a full-screen image, and these figures should not be treated as measurements of the 75-inch model.

- Real 4K HDR picture: A true 4K UHD (3840x2160) panel with Open HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG support delivers sharper detail and richer contrast than standard HD
- Built for gaming and sports: Game Accelerator 120 plus Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Motion Rate 240 with MEMC combine to cut input lag and smooth out fast motion, so this 75 inch smart TV keeps up with consoles and live sports alike
- Your next Roku TV: One simple home screen puts live local news, sports, movies, and thousands of free and paid streaming channels in one place — no separate streaming box required
- Works with your smart home: Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit, plus built-in Google Cast and AirPlay 2 for mirroring video, music, and photos straight from your phone or laptop
- Bigger sound to match the screen: Stronger speakers with Dolby Digital+ passthrough give dialogue and sports commentary more presence at this larger size, or pass through cleanly to a soundbar
In Filmmaker Mode, TechRadar measured 97.1% UHDA-P3 and 78.4% BT.2020 color-gamut coverage on that 65-inch sample. The review praised its bright, vibrant image and gaming features, but identified screen uniformity as a weakness. This is one reviewer’s assessment of a different screen size, rather than a guarantee of how every 75-inch unit will perform. TechRadar’s C7K review
Zone count: 75-inch specification versus family maximum
TCL’s Australia sheet lists 1248 dimming zones for the 75-inch model. TCL’s global C7K page advertises up to 2048 zones for the family, which covers multiple screen sizes. The family maximum is not the stated zone count for the Australian 75C7K. TCL Australia 75C7K specifications TCL global C7K page

Does the TCL 75C7K support 4K at 144 Hz?
TCL lists 4K resolution (3840 × 2160) and a 144 Hz native refresh rate for the Australian 75C7K. It also lists “288Hz* / 144Hz” VRR, with the 288 Hz mode qualified as up to 2K for gaming. Do not read that as 288 Hz at 4K: the stated higher refresh option is limited to up to 2K. The sheet also lists ALLM and FreeSync Premium Pro. Actual results depend on the connected source, game, signal settings, and supported resolution. TCL Australia 75C7K specifications

Ports, smart TV and audio
The Australia specification sheet lists four HDMI 2.1 inputs, plus one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port. Other connections include Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, eARC, and optical SPDIF. It specifies Google TV with 64 GB storage. HDR format support includes HDR10+ and Dolby Vision IQ, with IMAX Enhanced also listed. TCL cautions that some listed features may require a software update to be fully available. Check the exact regional model and its current software when confirming a feature. Built-in audio is rated at 60 W and carries Bang & Olufsen branding, with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X listed. TechRadar described the sound from its 65-inch review sample as punchy, while finding the soundstage and bass limited. That listening impression applies to the review sample, not a direct test of the 75-inch version. TechRadar’s C7K review
Size, weight and wall mounting
TCL Australia gives the 75C7K dimensions as 1666 × 995 × 367 mm with its stand, or 1666 × 960 × 56.7 mm without the stand. The listed weights are 26.6 kg with stand and 24.6 kg without. Its VESA mounting pattern is 300 × 300 mm, and the wall bracket is not included. Before buying a mount, confirm that it supports the television’s weight, uses the correct VESA pattern, includes suitable hardware, and is appropriate for your wall and installation conditions. Should you buy the TCL 75C7K?
The 75C7K is worth considering if you want a large-screen Mini LED set with a high refresh rate, a broad set of gaming features, four HDMI 2.1 inputs, and modern HDR support. Its manufacturer-listed brightness and zone count are promising, but they are not substitutes for independent measurements of the 75-inch unit. The available independent review offers useful context from a 65-inch model, including a warning about uniformity, rather than a direct verdict on this size.
Compare the current local price and exact regional model before buying. A useful comparison with another television should use the same screen size and comparable brightness methods, and should account for zone count, uniformity and blooming, refresh rate at the resolution you use, HDMI capabilities, HDR formats, and built-in audio. TechRadar’s review page records launch and later reduced prices, but those dated figures are not current October 2026 pricing; current price and availability have not been verified here.
