The TCL 65P745 is a 65-inch 4K Google TV whose published Australian specifications include Dolby Vision and HDR10+ decoding, three HDMI inputs, and DLG described as “up to 2k” at 120 Hz. Those figures describe the manufacturer’s listed features—not independently tested picture, sound, or gaming performance. The exact hardware and features can vary by market, so check the local model number and manual before buying.
What is the TCL 65P745?
TCL’s global support entry identifies the 65P745 as the 65-inch version of its P745 4K UHD TV series, and TCL Australia describes it as a 65-inch 4K Ultra HD Google TV. TCL Philippines also lists the 65P745 among the P745 sizes. These regional references establish the model identity, but they do not guarantee identical hardware or software in every country. TCL Australia’s P745 product page and TCL Philippines’ P745 page are regional product references; confirm the full SKU sold where you live.

Picture specifications: what the numbers do and do not tell you
TCL Australia lists a 3840 × 2160 Ultra HD DLED panel, 280 nits brightness, a 5000:1 contrast ratio, a 6.5 ms grey-to-grey response time, and a 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angle. These are published specifications, not test results, so they should not be read as proof of measured brightness, contrast, response behavior, or viewing-angle image quality.

The sheet lists Dolby Vision and HDR10+ decoding. Format decoding means the TV is specified to handle those HDR formats; it does not establish how bright HDR highlights appear or how convincing HDR images look on this panel. TCL also lists Movie, Game, Sports, and PC picture modes, among others, without independent evidence here about their accuracy or effectiveness. Does the TCL 65P745 support 4K at 120 Hz?
The Australian specification sheet does not establish 4K at 120 Hz. It lists DLG (Dual Line Gate) “120Hz*” and qualifies that with “*Up to 2k.” It also lists Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). Do not interpret this as confirmation of native 4K/120 Hz input or operation.
TCL Philippines promotes a “120Hz Game Accelerator,” AMD FreeSync, HDMI 2.1, and MEMC on its P745 page. That regional marketing does not resolve the Australian sheet’s “up to 2k” qualification or prove that every feature is present or works the same way on every 65P745 variant. Ports, wireless connections, and audio
TCL Australia lists three HDMI inputs, described as HDMI 1.4b and 2.1, plus HDCP 2.2, one USB 3.0 input, Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a headphone output, optical SPDIF, and HDMI eARC. The sheet does not map every capability to a particular HDMI port in the information available here. Check the local manual to confirm which port and settings suit a console, receiver, or soundbar.
The listed audio output is 2 × 9.5 W. TCL also specifies Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD decoding. These are manufacturer-listed power and format details; they do not establish subjective sound quality or how well a particular room, soundtrack, or speaker setup will perform. eARC is the relevant listed connection to check if you intend to connect a compatible soundbar or receiver.
Google TV setup and storage
The Australian sheet identifies Google TV and 16 GB of storage. TCL’s P745 Series Operation Manual says: “To enjoy all smart features and services on your TCL Google TV, a free Google account, a free TCL account, and a reliable broadband internet connection are required.” The manual is listed at approximately 2023, with no exact publication date stated. Size, weight, and wall mounting
For the Australian model, TCL lists dimensions of 1445 × 885 × 288 mm with the stand and 1445 × 833 × 81 mm without it. Listed net weight is 14.1 kg with the stand and 14 kg without it. Measure the furniture or wall space against the configuration you plan to use, and confirm local-model dimensions before installation.

The same Australian specification lists a 200 × 200 mm VESA hole pattern and four M6 × 12 screws. TCL says the wall bracket is not included. This identifies the mounting pattern, not a guarantee that every mount will fit: check the local model, the mount’s compatibility and weight rating, and the wall and installation requirements. TCL’s 65P745 specifications and support downloads are the regional reference for these details.
Who should consider the TCL 65P745?
The published specifications make the 65P745 worth investigating if you want a 65-inch 4K Google TV and need listed features such as Dolby Vision and HDR10+ decoding, eARC, or three HDMI inputs. They do not establish image quality, sound quality, HDR impact, gaming latency, current value, or local availability. For gaming in particular, resolve the local model’s supported resolution and refresh rate before treating a “120 Hz” label as a match for your setup.
Before purchase, compare the full local SKU and manual with the Australian figures in this review. Check the panel and inputs, tuner, firmware, warranty, and bundled remote for your market; the researched official sources do not establish those details across regions.
