The TCL 55P7K is a 55-inch QLED 4K Google TV, but the available evidence supports a specifications-based overview—not a performance verdict. TCL’s UK listing is for the regional model 55P7K-UK; it advertises a “120Hz Game Accelerator in FHD resolution,” which is not the same as native 120Hz at 4K. Independent measurements and current local pricing are not established here, so picture quality, gaming performance, and value remain unverified.
Which TCL 55P7K is covered?
This review concerns the UK-market 55P7K-UK listing. TCL Europe identifies the P7K family as a QLED range and includes a 55-inch size, while TCL UK describes its 55P7K-UK as a QLED, Direct LED, 4K HDR television powered by Google TV. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent test results. TCL cautions that features and specifications vary by model and region, so buyers elsewhere should check the product sheet and manual for their exact local model.
TCL’s Europe support page provides product sheets and a user manual for model 55P7K; the listed downloads are dated March 18, 2025. Check TCL’s 55P7K support page and confirm that the documentation matches the set sold in your market.

What can be said about picture quality?
The UK listing establishes the display category and resolution: QLED, Direct LED, and 4K HDR. Those labels do not establish how bright the screen gets, how well it controls black levels, how accurate its colors are, or how it performs in a bright room. No independent measurements of brightness, contrast, uniformity, color accuracy, or viewing angles are available here, so it would be misleading to call the picture bright, vivid, or cinematic as a tested conclusion.

TCL’s P7K family page also describes features such as AiPQ image processing and HVA panel technology, and lists HDR formats and Dolby Vision. The page warns that specifications vary by model and region; verify those features against the exact-country product sheet before assuming they apply to the 55P7K-UK or another regional variant. TCL also publishes a 93% DCI-P3 color-gamut claim on the family page, attributing relevant data to its labs. The page material does not provide a publication year or detailed independent test method, and the claim is not established as a measurement of this 55-inch unit.
For the same reason, the “4K HDR” product designation indicates advertised format support, not proof of strong HDR impact. Without measured peak brightness, tone mapping behavior, and real-scene testing, HDR performance cannot be rated confidently.

Does the TCL 55P7K support 120Hz?
TCL UK advertises a “120Hz Game Accelerator in FHD resolution.” Keep the resolution qualification attached: this is not evidence that the TV accepts or displays native 120Hz at 4K. The listing alone also does not establish which input, game modes, or exact supported timings are available on every regional version. Check the local model’s documentation and connected-device requirements before buying for a specific gaming setup.
That advertised feature is not enough to judge the TV’s gaming performance. No independent input-lag measurements or tests of motion handling, supported modes, or behavior with consoles and PCs are available here. TCL’s Europe family page mentions Game Master, but its regional-variation caveat means buyers should verify availability on their exact unit.

Does it have Google TV?
Yes. TCL’s UK product listing identifies Google TV as the smart-TV platform. TCL says the experience requires a Google account, a TCL account, and reliable broadband. Internet access and subscriptions are needed for some content, and app, content, and feature availability varies by country. TCL’s P7K page states: “Some apps, contents and/or features may not be available in all countries. Subject to availability.”
The platform designation does not, by itself, establish how smoothly the interface runs on this particular set. No hands-on assessment of setup, responsiveness, or app performance is available here.

What about sound, setup, and connectivity?
The available product information does not establish tested audio quality, so there is no basis to describe the built-in sound as good or poor. It also does not provide enough verified, model-specific detail here to assess the full port selection, setup experience, or compatibility with a particular sound system. Check the product sheet or manual for the exact regional model if you need particular connections or audio features.

Should you buy the TCL 55P7K?
A buying recommendation depends on the exact regional model, independent performance tests, and the price available to you. Those comparisons and current local price or stock are not established here. The reliable takeaway is narrower: TCL lists the UK 55P7K-UK as a 55-inch QLED, Direct LED, 4K HDR Google TV, with a 120Hz Game Accelerator claim limited to FHD resolution. That makes it a candidate to investigate, not a proven choice for HDR movies, fast gaming, or value.
- Before purchasing, confirm that the listing is the 55-inch P7K for your market—not a different size or regional variant.
- Use the exact model’s local product sheet and manual to verify features and connections.
- If gaming is your priority, confirm supported resolution and refresh-rate modes for your console or PC; do not interpret the FHD accelerator claim as 4K at 120Hz.
- Compare current local pricing and independent measurements before deciding whether its picture, gaming performance, and value suit your needs.
For the UK model, TCL’s product page is the 55P7K-UK listing. For the P7K family’s regional caveats, see TCL Europe’s P7K page.
