No verified PS5 fix for Tavern Manager Simulator crashes has been confirmed. Neither the official PlayStation Store listing nor the developer’s announcements show a patch that resolves crashing on PS5, so the “(FIXED)” label in the title should not be taken at face value. What helps depends on what the crash looks like: a freeze, a sudden return to the home screen, a game that will not launch, or a specific error code. The steps below cover each case and separate PlayStation’s general guidance from anything that is specific to this game.
What is confirmed about the PS5 release
- The PlayStation Store lists Tavern Manager Simulator as a PS5 game published by ULTIMATE GAMES, described as a tavern-management simulation.
- The developer, One More Time, has announced on Steam that the game is out on PS5, and credits Ultimate Games S.A. with handling the console port. That announcement confirms the release, but it is not a statement about crashes or patches.
- The developer’s Steam support page is written for the Steam version. It gives a support email address but does not describe a PS5 crash solution.
- No PS5 patch note, known-issue entry, or named developer or publisher statement about a crash or a fix was found at the time of writing.
- The store’s overall rating is not a stability measure and says nothing about how often the game crashes on PS5.
Identify what kind of failure you are seeing
The first step is to describe the failure precisely, because the fixes differ. Note the time, what you were doing, and any error code on screen.

PlayStation Support publishes general troubleshooting for error CE-109573-5. The steps below follow that guidance. They are not a fix confirmed for Tavern Manager Simulator specifically, but they are the documented starting point for this start error.

Open Control Center, select Power, then Turn Off PS5. Wait for the console to shut down fully, then turn it back on and try the game again.
- Delete and reinstall the game. Go to Game Library, highlight Tavern Manager Simulator, press the Options button, and select Delete. Then download the game again from your library or the PlayStation Store.
- Rebuild the database in Safe Mode if the error persists. Turn the PS5 off completely. Press and hold the power button until you hear the second beep, then release it. Connect the DualSense controller with a USB cable, press the PS button, and select option 5, Rebuild Database. Rebuilding the database repairs the console’s file index. It does not change your installed games or saved data, but it can take a while on a large library.
- Update the system software and the game. Go to Settings, then System, then System Software, then System Software Update and Settings, and select Update System Software. Then highlight the game in Game Library, press Options, and select Check for Update if an update is listed.
If the error still appears after these steps, contact PlayStation Support rather than repeating the same steps.

Crashes without an error code
When the game closes or freezes without an error code, the steps are less standardized. These checks are reasonable starting points:
- Check free storage under Settings, then Storage. A nearly full drive can cause unexpected behavior during saves and loading.
- Note whether the crash happens at the same point each time, such as on a specific screen, during a save, or after a long session. A repeatable trigger is the most useful detail to pass to support.
- Install the latest game update and system software update before testing again.
- If the game crashes on every launch after reinstalling, treat it as a problem to report rather than something to keep retrying.
Why a “(FIXED)” label is not enough
Game titles often carry labels taken from forum threads or search results, and those labels can go out of date. A fix should be backed by one of two things: a dated PS5 patch note that names the crash, or a statement from the developer or publisher that the problem is resolved on PS5. Update notes for the Steam or PC version do not count as evidence for the PlayStation version, even though the developer uses the same name for both.

When and how to contact support
Use PlayStation Support if the error code is shown on screen, if the console shuts down, or if the steps above do not stop the problem. For game-specific questions, the developer’s Steam support page gives a support email for One More Time. Include the following when you write to either:
- Your PS5 model (standard, Digital Edition, or Pro) and system software version
- The exact error code, or a description of the freeze or shutdown
- When the problem started and whether it happens at the same point each time
- The steps you have already tried, including whether you reinstalled the game and rebuilt the database
A clear report with these details is far more likely to get a useful answer than a general complaint that the game crashes.
