T-Mobile no longer offers its former Google One plan with 2 TB of storage and unlimited Google Photos backups. New subscriptions ended on September 30, 2025, and billing and support for existing subscribers moved to Google on March 31, 2026. The offer is discontinued, so anyone still searching for “T-Mobile Google One plan” should focus on the billing transition and what happens to their stored content.
What happened to T-Mobile’s 2 TB + unlimited Google Photos plan?
T-Mobile ended new subscriptions to its Google One plans on September 30, 2025. Billing and support for existing subscribers moved to Google on March 31, 2026. Following that transition, neither T-Mobile’s 500 GB plan nor its 2 TB plan with unlimited Google Photos and videos remained available through T-Mobile. T-Mobile’s support page documents the closure and transition.
The former 2 TB + unlimited Google Photos plan was a partner offer, not a standard Google One benefit sold directly by Google. Google’s description of the partner plan separated its two benefits: the administrator’s eligible Photos backups did not count against the plan’s 2 TB quota while the subscription was active, and the 2 TB storage could be shared with up to five additional people. The unlimited Photos benefit applied only to the plan administrator, not to family members.

What should former subscribers do now?
T-Mobile’s transition guidance told subscribers who wanted to keep Google One to transfer billing to Google, or to cancel if they no longer wanted the service. It described a six-month trial of Google’s 2 TB plan for eligible customers who transferred, followed by standard Google One pricing. Treat that as transition guidance for eligible T-Mobile subscribers, not a standing offer for everyone: trial eligibility and terms can differ, and the page cautioned that standard Google options and prices may not match the old T-Mobile offer. Check the T-Mobile transition instructions and the terms presented in your Google account before accepting a trial or paid plan.

- Review the storage currently used in your Google account across Gmail, Drive, and Photos.
- Decide whether you need a paid Google One plan, taking into account whether Photos backups count toward its storage allowance and whether family members need to share storage.
- Check the available plans and price for your country, plus the trial’s end date and the billing terms that apply after it.
- If you do not want continued paid service, follow the cancellation instructions for the account and billing arrangement shown to you.
What happens to Google Photos and other files if you cancel?
Google accounts include up to 15 GB of storage shared across Gmail, Drive, and Photos, according to Google’s storage guidance. If your account uses more than the storage available after a plan ends, check your storage and choose how to address the excess rather than assuming that cancellation immediately deletes your photos.
Google’s Photos policy warns that content may be deleted after two or more years of inactivity or when storage is full, subject to its policy and notice process. That is not an assertion that content disappears as soon as a former T-Mobile subscription is canceled. Review Google’s current account notices and storage status, and make a deliberate plan for content that exceeds your available quota.

How to compare Google One options after the T-Mobile offer
There is no single replacement that fits every former subscriber. Compare the options shown in your account using these points:

- Photo backup treatment: Confirm whether Photos backups count toward the plan’s quota. Do not assume the former partner plan’s unlimited administrator backups are part of an ordinary Google One plan.
- Family sharing: Check which people can share storage and whether any particular benefit, such as the former unlimited Photos allowance, applies to them.
- Price and billing period: Google says prices vary by location. Use the price shown for your country and billing period rather than relying on a figure from T-Mobile’s transition guidance.
- Trial conversion: If an offer appears, verify eligibility, when the trial ends, and what paid billing begins afterward.
