Tom’s Guide reported on October 2, 2026, that the queen-size SweetNight 14-inch CoolNest Memory Foam Mattress was $379.51 on Amazon. That is a dated deal report, not a confirmation of today’s price or availability. The “most cooling bed” description belongs to Tom’s Guide writer Frances Daniels; it is not supported by an independent comparison or published cooling measurements.
What was the reported deal?
Tom’s Guide listed the queen at $379.51 on Amazon on October 2, 2026, against a stated prior price of $629.99 and a direct SweetNight price of $469.99. The article described the Amazon offer as $250.48 below the prior price. Those figures are the publication’s snapshot from that date, not a live price check. Before buying, confirm the selected size, seller, stock, price, and checkout terms on the retailer’s listing.
The same article reported a 4.5-star user score from more than 1,100 reviews. That is a dated platform snapshot, not an independent measure of mattress quality.

Daniels attributed the CoolNest’s cool feel to gel infusions, a breathable cover, and heat-dissipating Phase Change Material. After more than a month of lab-based and at-home testing, she wrote that it kept her sleeping cool through summer heatwaves. That is her reported experience, not a formal temperature measurement or proof that every sleeper will feel cool on it.

The article did not provide a numerical firmness rating, surface-temperature readings, a cooling-test protocol, or comparative thermal results. Its headline superlative should therefore be read as the writer’s assessment, not an objectively established ranking.
Who may suit the CoolNest best?
Daniels found its contouring memory foam most suited to side sleeping, reporting pressure relief around the shoulders and hips. That makes it a plausible option for side sleepers seeking a conforming feel, but the source does not establish that it will suit every body type or firmness preference.

What alternative did the article name?
Tom’s Guide also identified the queen Siena Signature Memory Foam Mattress as a cheaper alternative, listing it at $329 at the time. The article described it as not being a dedicated cooling model, though it offered temperature regulation. The stated price and assessment are dated source claims; check current availability and pricing before comparing.
