Retro Remake’s SuperStation One Transparent Collection launched at about $249 with a preinstalled 16 GB microSD card and no built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or NFC reader. That is 75% less bundled storage than Batch 5’s 64 GB card, according to Notebookcheck. Yet reports published around the October 7, 2026 preorder opening said two of the five transparent colors were already sold out. That snapshot does not show how many consoles sold or why buyers chose them.
What changed in the Transparent Collection?
The Transparent Collection is a PS1-inspired FPGA console. Retro Remake’s product page lists the console, a preinstalled 16 GB microSD card, fan, HDMI cable, USB-C cable, and NTSC-J Launch Edition packaging. The listed price was $249, with a one-unit order limit and December shipping. Retro Remake’s product listing
Compared with Batch 5, the most clearly documented package change is the included microSD capacity. Notebookcheck says Batch 5 included 64 GB; the Transparent Collection’s 16 GB is a 75% reduction in bundled capacity. This compares what ships in the box, not the console’s maximum supported storage, which the available product information does not establish. Notebookcheck’s report

What should a buyer check before ordering?
- Storage: The package includes 16 GB. If you expect to need more, investigate an optional microSD card, but confirm supported capacity and speed with current manufacturer documentation; the cited listing does not specify them.
- Wireless and NFC needs: Built-in Wi-Fi/BT and NFC are absent. Retro Remake points to external options, but verify each adapter’s function and compatibility rather than assuming a single accessory covers everything.
- Box contents: An HDMI cable is already listed, so another is only relevant as a spare or replacement.
- Expansion: The broader SuperStation One overview describes an optional SuperDock with features such as a tray-loading DVD-RW drive, internal NVMe M.2 slot, extra USB ports, SNAC bypass, debug/PC modes, and an infrared remote receiver. The overview does not establish that SuperDock is part of the Transparent Collection preorder box. POCG’s SuperStation One overview
- Order details: The listing showed a one-unit limit and December shipping; preorder and stock information can change, so confirm those terms on the official page when ordering.
