For the latest dated snapshot available here, Pocket Gamer’s October 8, 2026 tier list for Summoners Greed version 1.108.17 places 30 monsters in S tier. Treat it as a practical starting point, not an official or universal ranking: the list says it considers different game modes but publishes neither its scoring formula nor complete mode-by-mode rankings.
Best Summoners Greed monsters in the October 2026 tier list
The ranking below reproduces Pocket Gamer’s list as updated October 8, 2026, for game version 1.108.17. Its tier placements are editorial judgments, not developer-certified performance data. The source notes that it incorporates new releases and balance changes over time, so the date and version matter.
| Tier | Monsters listed |
|---|---|
| S | Suzaku, Seiryu, Anubis, Icicleo, Amaterasu, Orc Hunter, Horus, Jiraiya, Zeus, Arch Arch, Medjed, Kingslayer, Ifrit, Hellhound, Felina, Kevin, Slime King, Devon, Mighty, Speedy, Mr. Flamey, Odin, Deep One, Thor, Loki, Draco Crimson Bordir, Draco Azure Tyrvoid, Draco Emerald Dirvy, Draco Indigo Bylle, Lontari |
| A | Hades, Ra, Susanoo, Archimedes, Pony Sparks, Dust, Amael, Glacial DW, Skellington, Booyah, Sparky, Icarus, Miko, Pony Spark, Segway, Mummy King, Genbu, Baby Loand / Loand, Polarpuff, Kayeffcee, Loren |
| B | Poseidon, Crispy, Magma DW, Ash, Casielle, Deathbite, Frostbite, Puffy, Lightning, Cheebs, Extra Chilly, Booya, Infernus, Teddy_Evo, Iced Cappuccino, Omega Mocha, Stacky, Clyde, Flamey, Byakko, Onmyouji, Hela |
| C | Ex Pyro, Darkwing, Malak, Chilly, Pyro, Teddy, Yeti, Jack, Spidey, Slimey_Evo |
| D | Gabriel, Limzard, Monke, Cappucino, Fury, Mocha, Rocky, Spikey, Slimey |
| E | Chronus, Mummy King, Rudolph, Sluggy, Grimey |
Check the Mummy King placement carefully: Pocket Gamer lists Mummy King in both A and E. The available list does not resolve that apparent duplicate, so it would be misleading to assign it a single tier here.

Rarity is not a substitute for placement or role. Pocket Gamer includes Mythical, Special, Legendary, Epic, and Common monsters in S tier; Mighty, Speedy, Devon, and Mr. Flamey are among its S-tier entries. A lower rarity label alone does not establish that a monster is a poor choice.

How to use the tiers for your team
Start with the mode you are trying to clear
A monster’s value can depend on the mode and your current point in progression. Pocket Gamer says its list considers use across different modes, but it does not provide full separate rankings or explain how it weighs those modes. Use the tiers to identify candidates, then choose for the stage or mode you actually play rather than assuming every S-tier monster is best everywhere.
Build around the monsters you have invested in
A community reply advises focusing upgrades instead of spreading them evenly, and says tier lists become more useful once monsters are leveled. That is player advice, not a controlled comparison or official rule. In practice, compare a monster’s tier with its current level, star level, evolution, and the support available in your lineup; a theoretical ranking does not capture your account’s investment.

Choose a carry and supports, not a checklist of S-tier names
A July 2026 strategy article suggests Mighty for an attack boost and Speedy for attack speed, and identifies Amaterasu as a damage carry. It also points to Jiraiya for range and freezing, Zeus for lightning needs, Kingslayer for a late-game Map 13 role, and Hellhound or Ifrit as a special option. These are secondary-source role suggestions from July, before the October snapshot; treat them as ideas to test, not guaranteed current-patch recommendations.
When choosing between two plausible monsters, compare what your team needs—damage, crowd control, or support—alongside mode fit and investment. You do not need to own every S-tier entry to make a coherent lineup.

Why older tier lists can go stale
Official release notes reproduced on the Apple App Store show that Mythical balance and progression changed substantially in March 2026. In version 1.107.1, dated March 5, Pixio said, “We boosted their power by 30x!” In version 1.107.4, dated March 19, the notes said one copy was needed to increase a Mythical star level, Mythical leveling cost was reduced to 5 coins instead of 500, and Mythicals changed to deal x10 skill damage. Those figures describe historical updates; they should not be read as confirmation of the game’s current costs or effects.
Because updates can alter balance, check the list’s version and update date whenever you use it. The October 8, 2026 list is a dated snapshot, not a promise that the same placements remain right after a later patch.
