Stord says it will use its newly announced $400 million credit facility to expand its fulfillment network, accelerate warehouse robotics and automation, and invest in commerce software and AI. Citi led the facility, which Stord said closed oversubscribed at nearly twice the amount it originally sought.
What Stord plans to do with the credit
In its October 8, 2026 announcement, Stord said the facility will support three priorities:
- Expand fulfillment: Grow the network used to fulfill orders for brands.
- Accelerate automation and robotics: Increase deployment through Stord Labs, which the company describes as its center for advancing AI, robotics, and automation across its fulfillment network.
- Develop commerce software and AI: Deepen the software and AI capabilities it offers brands.
CEO and co-founder Sean Henry said, “We will use this capital to expand our fulfillment network, accelerate our deployment of robotics, and invest aggressively in AI through Stord Labs.” These are announced intentions; the release does not establish that the expansion or investments have already been completed.

Who arranged the $400 million facility?
Citi led the credit facility. Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, First Citizens, Citizens, and KeyBank also participated. Stord said demand was strong and that the facility closed oversubscribed at nearly double its original target. The announcement does not disclose the facility’s pricing, covenants, detailed terms, or how much Stord has drawn.

How it fits with Stord’s 2026 financing
The credit facility follows Stord’s nearly $250 million Series F, announced May 26, 2026, at a $3 billion valuation. The two financings differ in type: the Series F was equity, while the October announcement describes a credit facility. Stord said the financing together gives it liquidity and financial flexibility; it has not published detailed terms for the credit that would allow a fuller comparison of obligations or cost.

Leadership changes announced alongside the facility
Stord named Bill Zerella CFO and Mark Wayland CRO. According to the company, Zerella has led finance at three public companies and was involved in Fitbit’s 2015 IPO. Wayland most recently served as CRO at Box, previously held a CRO role at Tanium, and held a senior role at Salesforce.
