A listing on NVIDIA Marketplace showed an ASUS ROG Strix G16 with a GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU for $1,999.99, reduced by $499 from $2,499.99. That is the concrete offer behind the “up to $500 off” claim—but the listing does not establish that the price is still available on October 4, 2026. Check the retailer page for current price, stock, seller, and configuration before buying.
What the advertised discount covers
The surfaced offer is for the ASUS ROG Strix G16 RTX 5070, listed at $1,999.99 against a displayed previous price of $2,499.99. NVIDIA Marketplace identified its screen as 16 inches with a 2560 × 1600 resolution. The listing evidence does not establish the laptop’s complete configuration, sale dates, or current inventory, and the displayed discount is not an independently verified market-wide price comparison. Check NVIDIA Marketplace’s discounted gaming-laptop listings for the live offer and retailer details.
How to compare RTX 50 gaming laptops
The RTX 50 laptop family includes six GPU tiers: RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, 5070, 5060, and 5050. NVIDIA’s laptop GPU specifications distinguish them by AI TOPS, CUDA core count, boost clock, memory configuration, and bandwidth. Those GPU specifications alone do not establish how a complete laptop performs or whether its price is good value.

Do not assume two laptops with the same GPU name will perform identically.
- Processor, memory, and storage: Compare the exact components included in each configuration rather than relying on the product family name.
- Display: Check size, resolution, and refresh rate against your needs. The marketplace listing for the example Strix G16 specifies 16 inches and 2560 × 1600; other display details are not established by that listing.
- Total offer terms: Check current price, stock, seller, sale dates, and warranty. Marketplace prices and availability can change.

What to verify before you buy
- Open the discounted-laptop listing and confirm the offer is still available in your country.
- Follow through to the retailer and verify the final price, stock, seller, and any sale dates or conditions.
- Match the exact laptop configuration to the listing, including GPU, processor, memory, storage, and display. A shared model name does not guarantee identical components.
- Compare the laptop’s warranty and complete specifications with alternatives in the NVIDIA Marketplace gaming-laptop category.
The cited marketplace evidence is for its US category and does not confirm availability or pricing elsewhere. It also does not include independent performance testing of the Strix G16, so the offer should be treated as a price listing—not a tested recommendation.
