Respawn’s next Star Wars Jedi game could be unveiled before the end of 2026, according to a rumor attributed to leaker FivesWalker—but EA and Respawn have not announced a reveal date. The project itself is real: EA and Lucasfilm Games confirmed in 2022 that Respawn was working on another game in the series. The reported reveal timing, a possible 2027 release, and any title or platform details remain unconfirmed.
What the Star Wars Jedi 3 report actually says
KitGuru attributes the year-end reveal forecast to Star Wars leaker FivesWalker, who said the game was planned for next year and suggested it might be unveiled before The Game Awards in December. ComicBook.com reported the same claim on October 1, 2026, reproducing FivesWalker’s September 30 post: “Yes, Jedi 3 will be next year. Marketing will start to occur sooner than you think. I would bet even before TGA. Very exciting time for SW games.”

That is a leaker’s post, not an EA announcement. The reports point to a possible reveal before the end of 2026 and a possible 2027 release, but they do not establish a date or confirm that either event will happen. KitGuru’s report and ComicBook.com’s account both attribute the timing to FivesWalker.

What EA and Lucasfilm have confirmed
On January 25, 2022, EA and Lucasfilm Games announced that Respawn was developing the next Star Wars Jedi action-adventure game. Their announcement confirms that another game was in development; it did not give a release window or reveal schedule. Lucasfilm Games VP Douglas Reilly said, “We are excited to continue working with the superbly talented developers at Respawn.” The official announcement does not verify the current rumor.

In 2024 coverage of EA’s Investor Day, GameSpot reported that EA described the project as the final chapter in Cal Kestis’s story. That gives the game a place in the series narrative, but the reporting did not supply a release date. GameSpot’s report is not a schedule announcement.
Is a 2027 release confirmed?
No. FivesWalker’s post says “Jedi 3 will be next year,” which the October reports interpret as 2027. ComicBook.com also notes that a 2027 launch could fit the approximate reveal-to-release interval of earlier games, but that is the outlet’s inference—not a date supplied by EA or Respawn. The reviewed reports establish no specific release window, official game title, or platform list.

What to play while waiting
The released games in the series are Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. EA describes Fallen Order as a Respawn third-person action-adventure game and Survivor as a continuation of Cal Kestis’s story. EA’s Star Wars game catalogue identifies both titles. Playing either is optional context; no source cited here says it is a prerequisite for the next game.
