Star Wars: Galactic Racer is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X|S on October 6, 2026. The Xbox listing confirms online cross-platform multiplayer and a range of race craft, but it does not specify Xbox Series X resolution, frame rate, or graphics modes. Here is what is announced ahead of launch—and what remains unknown.
When does Star Wars: Galactic Racer come out on Xbox Series X?
The worldwide release is scheduled for October 6, 2026, on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. That is the announced date as of October 4, 2026; the Xbox version is listed for Series X|S, not Xbox One. StarWars.com and the Xbox Store list the release.

What kind of racing game is it?
Fuse Games develops Star Wars: Galactic Racer, and Secret Mode publishes it. The publisher describes it as a runs-based racing adventure in an underground Galactic League, set after the fall of the Empire. Rather than being only a sequence of conventional races, its announced solo campaign is organized as a tour with changing events and branching routes.
Craft and handling
Official materials name landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers. Xbox Wire editor Mike Nelson’s hands-on preview at Summer Game Fest: Play Days describes three chassis with distinct handling: landspeeders favor drifting and endurance, speeder bikes are faster in a straight line but harder to corner, and skim speeders are challenging through hard-banking turns. Nelson also describes an Afterburner that recharges and a high-risk Ramjet boost that can overheat. Those details are preview descriptions, not a substitute for testing the released game.

Campaign and modes
In the Xbox Wire preview, the solo Galactic Tour spans three acts, with a randomized event sequence and branching paths on each run. Rewards can be applied to your craft. The official Xbox listing also describes arcade play, PvP, shifting alliances, and grudge matches. The preview specifically discusses campaign and arcade modes; the available descriptions do not establish every post-launch mode or its full rules.
For a sense of the setting, StarWars.com identifies the Jakku course in the Graveyard of Giants, amid the wreckage of a Star Destroyer and an AT-AT. This is an official location description, not a performance or gameplay finding. Read the StarWars.com feature.
