In Stake.us Blackjack, the aim is to finish closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. You choose whether to take another card, keep your hand, split a pair, or double your wager; the exact options and payouts depend on the game you open. Stake.us offers Gold Coin Standard Play and Stake Cash Promotional Play, which have different prize rules.
How a Stake.us Blackjack hand works
Stake.us describes its Stake Original Blackjack as a contest against the dealer to reach 21. Number cards count at face value, face cards count as 10, and an ace can count as 1 or 11, whichever keeps the hand from busting. A hand over 21 loses by busting. The dealer’s visible card can inform your decision, but the game-specific rules determine how the dealer plays.
Stake.us lists a regular win at 1:1 and a Blackjack win at 3:2 on its Stake Original game page. Blackjack usually means an ace and a 10-value card in the initial two cards; check the displayed rules for how that game defines and pays it. A tie, or push, and any exceptions should also be confirmed in the current pay table.
What each player action does
- Hit: Take another card. You can keep hitting while the game allows it, but a total above 21 busts.
- Stand: Keep your current total and end your turn.
- Split: If your first two cards are a pair, Stake Original’s page says you can separate them into two hands by placing the same play amount again. Each hand is then played separately under that game’s rules.
- Double: Add a matching amount to your play amount in exchange for one additional card, as described for Stake Original. Because you receive only one card, this is a commitment to stop afterward.
- Insurance: When the dealer’s exposed card is an ace, Stake Original offers an optional side bet. Its page says insurance pays 2:1 if the dealer has Blackjack. Check the game interface for the amount allowed and how the bet is settled.
Choosing a move without treating blackjack as a sure thing
There is no single action that is right for every hand: your total, the dealer’s exposed card, and the rules for that particular table matter. First learn your total, then consider whether another card risks busting or whether standing leaves the dealer likely to finish ahead. Split and double change the amount at risk, so use them only when you understand their effect. Insurance is a separate wager, not protection against every way a hand can lose.

The Stake.us page for Stake Original displays an RTP of 99.43%. That is the operator’s displayed figure; the page material reviewed gives no publication date or calculation method. RTP is not a prediction or guarantee for an individual hand or session. The same page displays bust figures for hands from 12 through 21: 31% for 12, 39% for 13, 56% for 14, 58% for 15, 62% for 16, 69% for 17, 77% for 18, 85% for 19, 92% for 20, and 100% for 21. It also lists two-card frequencies of 38.7% for “Decision Hands (1–16),” 30% for “Hard Standing Hands (17–20),” and 4.8% for “Natural 21.” These are figures printed by the operator, not independently validated probabilities; the page does not explain their method. They should not be applied to other blackjack titles or treated as a forecast of your results.
Stake Original and other blackjack games are not interchangeable
The Stake.us game page links both Stake Original Blackjack and Blackjack Live, and its blackjack category includes several titles. The cited figures and action descriptions above refer to Stake Original only. Do not assume another title uses the same RTP, payouts, available moves, or dealer rules. Before choosing a game, compare its current information for game type, listed RTP, available actions, payout table, and rules.

Gold Coins and Stake Cash: what the two play modes mean
Stake.us describes Gold Coins and Stake Cash as virtual tokens used for casino-style games. Its Terms distinguish two modes:

Redemption is subject to conditions, including identification and other account requirements; check the current Terms and account requirements rather than assuming a balance is redeemable.
The operator says no purchase is necessary to enter sweepstakes, but that does not mean every game or feature is available everywhere or that participation is lawful in every location. Stake’s Terms make customers responsible for determining whether participation is permitted where they live. Check current eligibility and location rules before playing.

Check the live game’s rules before placing a play amount
- Open the specific blackjack title you intend to play, rather than relying on rules from another Stake.us game.
- Review its game information, rules, and pay table for eligible actions, payouts, and any conditions attached to split, double, insurance, or Blackjack.
- Confirm whether you are using Gold Coins in Standard Play or Stake Cash in Promotional Play, and understand the different award and redemption conditions.
- Check the current Stake.us Terms and whether participation is allowed where you live. The Terms say the rules associated with each game are binding.
Age and responsible-play controls
Stake.us says its site is intended for people over 21. Its Responsible Play and Stake Smart pages encourage planning time and spending, taking breaks, and using self-exclusion controls where needed. The Help Center article on Break in Play and Self-Exclusion explains the available durations and account effects; check that page for current details. These controls can help limit access, but they do not remove the risk of losing plays or change the house edge. Stake Smart says, “Games/Spins are not related.” That is the operator’s statement, not an independent audit.
