Yes—Sprint announced that Hulu’s Limited Commercials on-demand plan would be included at no extra charge for new and existing Unlimited Freedom customers starting November 17, 2017. The announcement was made November 15, 2017. This was a historical offer, not confirmation of a current Sprint or T-Mobile benefit.
What Sprint’s free Hulu benefit included
The included service was Hulu Limited Commercials, an on-demand library of television shows, movies, and Hulu original programming. It was not Hulu + Live TV, and the announcement did not make live television part of the free benefit. TechCrunch’s November 15, 2017 report said Sprint expected to offer an upgrade option to Hulu’s live TV service, but did not provide definitive terms for that option.

Hulu senior vice president and head of distribution and partnerships Tim Connolly said at the time: “We know people love watching TV on their mobile devices, so we’re making it easier than ever for Sprint customers to enjoy their favorite shows and movies on Hulu,” TechCrunch reported.

Who the announcement covered, and when it began
Sprint and Hulu announced the arrangement on November 15, 2017, with access set to begin November 17, 2017. It was described as applying to both new and existing Sprint Unlimited Freedom customers. MacRumors’ November 15, 2017 account also reported the November 17 start date and the included Hulu Limited Commercials tier.

Historical Unlimited Freedom prices and features
Contemporary reporting paired the Hulu announcement with these Sprint plan details. They describe terms reported at the time, not current prices or a present-day offer.
| Period or detail | Reported Unlimited Freedom terms |
|---|---|
| Through January 31, 2019 | $25 per month per line, as reported by TechCrunch in November 2017. |
| After January 31, 2019 | $60 per month for one line, $40 for the second line, and $30 per month for each of lines three through five, as reported by TechCrunch in November 2017. |
| Mobile hotspot | 10 GB allowance, as reported with the plan in TechCrunch’s November 2017 coverage. |
TechCrunch’s account said the Hulu addition did not increase the Sprint plan price, so the included benefit carried no additional charge for an eligible Unlimited Freedom customer at that time. The reported plan prices and hotspot allowance are historical figures and should not be used as current guidance.

Does a legacy Unlimited Freedom account still qualify?
The 2017 announcement does not establish whether a customer with a grandfathered Unlimited Freedom account—or an account now billed by T-Mobile—still has Hulu eligibility. That depends on current account and plan terms, which the announcement does not resolve. Check the benefits and terms shown in your current account or contact your carrier for an answer specific to your line.
