CSB Energy Technology says it has received Frost & Sullivan’s 2026 Asia-Pacific Data Center Battery Systems Company of the Year recognition. The announcement connects the recognition to CSB’s innovation, customer value, critical-power solutions, Calor XHT technology, and collaboration with customers and partners. The award report’s specific criteria and findings are not established by the available materials, so the announcement does not show which performance measures led to the recognition.

What CSB announced

CSB’s company LinkedIn page announced the recognition and linked to a press release and a Frost & Sullivan report. The contents of those linked documents are not available here, so the detailed rationale, evaluation method, and any product-specific findings cannot be confirmed. The stated themes—innovation, customer value, critical-power solutions, Calor XHT technology, and collaboration—are CSB’s characterization of the recognition, not independently documented evaluator findings.

Frost & Sullivan’s 2026 recipients page is an official reference point, but the accessible Company of the Year listing does not show CSB in the relevant section. That omission means the available list does not independently corroborate the specific CSB/category pairing; it does not establish that the recognition did not occur.

How the recognition relates to CSB’s products

CSB makes batteries for UPS and standby-power applications. Its manufacturer information describes the HR series as a 12V high-rate VRLA-AGM line for low-power UPS and rapid-discharge standby use, and lists data-center UPS among its applications. CSB also presents its XHT and XPL-FT families for data-center UPS or standby power. These are manufacturer-stated applications, not independent performance comparisons or a recommendation for a particular installation.

Choosing a battery for a data-center UPS requires matching the exact UPS and operating requirements. Relevant details include chemistry and series, nominal voltage, capacity or discharge rating, terminal configuration, intended use, operating conditions, and the scope of any applicable certification. The available product information does not establish which model is suitable for a particular UPS.

What CSB’s UL announcements establish

CSB’s news archive lists two announcements about UL 1973:2022 certification for selected products: one dated 22 May 2025 and another dated 2 July 2025. The archive describes stationary-power uses that include data-center UPS and telecom. Its summaries do not enumerate the products in each phase, so they do not establish that every CSB battery—or every model in a family—is certified. Verify the exact model and certification scope before relying on certification for a project.

Market context: data-center and telecom batteries

A 2025 prospectus filed with HKEX attributes to Frost & Sullivan global shipments of energy-storage batteries used for telecom base stations and data centers combined of 29.1 GWh in 2020 and 60.4 GWh in 2024. The filing reports a 20.1% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2020 to 2024. It projects 309.7 GWh in 2030 and anticipates a 31.3% CAGR from 2024 to 2030. The 2030 figure and its growth rate are forecasts, and all these shipment figures combine telecom and data-center uses; they are not data-center-only totals.
