The Soundpeats POP Clip2 (also called UU2) offers an open-ear clip-on fit, and a DeviceKick review praised its audio and comfort. But that review also reported intermittent Bluetooth problems and charging-case contact issues. Those reliability concerns are worth weighing before you buy; the available sources do not establish how often they affect other units.
What are the Soundpeats POP Clip2 earbuds?
The POP Clip2 is an open-ear clip-on earbud: it sits outside the ear canal rather than sealing it. SOUNDPEATS’ official product page calls the same product “UU2 (POP Clip2)” and says, “UU2 and POP Clip2 are exactly the same product.” The packaging and Bluetooth device name use POP Clip2.
This is not described by the manufacturer as bone-conduction audio. Its listed audio hardware is a 12 mm dual-magnet dynamic driver. SOUNDPEATS lists Bluetooth 6.0, SBC, AAC and LDAC codec support, multipoint connectivity, physical buttons and an IPX5 water-resistance rating. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent test findings. See the SOUNDPEATS UU2 (POP Clip2) product page for current product details.
What the review liked—and the issue that changed its verdict
DeviceKick’s review describes the POP Clip2’s audio and comfort favorably, but reports connection instability and problems with the charging case’s contacts. The reviewer says the earbuds sometimes failed to connect after being removed from the case, audio occasionally dropped or stuttered, and case pins could remain depressed and fail to charge the earbuds reliably. The reviewer also describes manually manipulating the pins as a temporary workaround.

What to try if Bluetooth is unstable or the earbuds do not charge
SOUNDPEATS’ FAQ acknowledges that Bluetooth instability can occur and points to interference or body obstruction as possible causes. Its troubleshooting guidance also says to check that the earbuds are seated correctly and that the contacts are clean and dry if they remain connected after the case lid is closed or do not charge as expected. These steps may help with ordinary connection or contact problems; they do not confirm the review’s stuck-pin report.

Consider the POP Clip2 if you want an open-ear clip-on design and the audio and comfort praised in the DeviceKick review appeal to you. Be more cautious if consistent reconnection and charging are priorities: the same review reports problems in both areas. Because those reports come from one review and no product-wide failure rate is established, they are a meaningful caveat rather than evidence that every pair will have the issue.
