Android Authority reported on October 8, 2026 that Amazon was selling the soundcore AeroClip open-ear clip-on earbuds for $105.99, against a $169.99 recommended retail price. That is $64 off, or 38% below the reference price. Amazon prices change without notice, so treat the figure as a report from that date and confirm it on the live listing before you buy.
What the deal actually is
The discount is a US Amazon price reported by Android Authority. The $169.99 figure is the recommended retail price the report used as its reference point, not a price the product has to sell for everywhere. A discount of this size is easy to misread, so it helps to separate three numbers:
- Reported Amazon price: $105.99 (Android Authority, October 8, 2026, 11:49 a.m. ET).
- Reference price: $169.99 recommended retail price, as stated in the same report.
- Savings: $64, or 38% below the reference price.
The soundcore US product page displayed its own offer and a $169.99 price when checked. Those are not the Amazon terms in the report, and you should not assume the manufacturer’s page will show the same discount.
How to confirm the price before you buy
- Search Amazon for soundcore AeroClip open-ear clip-on earbuds.
- Open the listing and confirm the product is the AeroClip, not a similarly named model.
- Check the current price on the listing itself, not on a cached search result or a deal post.
- Check the seller. Sold by Amazon and sold by a third-party seller can differ in return terms and warranty handling.
- Choose the color you want and confirm it is in stock at the price shown.
- Read the price shown at checkout, since promotions can apply or lapse between the listing and the cart.

Soundcore’s US and FAQ pages list IP55. Its UK page shows older IPX4 wording alongside text saying the rating was upgraded, so use the US page for a US purchase.
Battery life: what the 8-hour figure assumes
The 8-hour figure is a best-case number. Soundcore’s FAQ says typical continuous music playback is about 8 hours at 50% volume with the default Signature sound effect. Louder playback and extra app features reduce runtime. If you listen at high volume for long sessions, plan for less than the headline number.
Rank #2
- Open Ear Earbuds Over Ear for Running & Gym: Clip-on design sits comfortably over your ear without blocking the ear canal. Perfect for running, workouts, and sports—stay aware of surroundings. More comfortable than in-ear, better sound than bone conduction.
- FlexiClip Design, Secure Fit: Memory titanium FlexiClip adapts to any ear shape for all-day comfort. Ultra-lightweight and stable—won't fall off during intense workouts or running. Designed for active lifestyles.
- Powerful Bass, 12mm Drivers: Custom 12mm drivers deliver deep bass and 86dB max output. Clear, loud sound for gym workouts and running—superior audio quality compared to bone conduction headphones.
- AI Clear Calls: Advanced AI filters background noise for crystal-clear calls during outdoor running, gym workouts, or commutes. Perfect for work calls on the go.
- 28H Playtime : 8 hours single charge, 28 hours with case. IP55 waterproof protects against sweat and rain during outdoor running and gym sessions. Bluetooth 6.0 for ultra-stable connection.
Water resistance: what IP55 covers
IP55 covers light sweat and slight rain, according to Soundcore’s FAQ. The company is explicit that the rating does not protect against submersion. Its support FAQ states: “IP55 does not protect against submersion in water.” Wipe moisture off the earbuds before returning them to the case. For a run in light rain or a workout, that is a reasonable use. For swimming, the rating does not apply.
Fit and sound isolation
Open-ear designs leave the ear canal uncovered. That is the reason many people choose them: you can hear traffic, announcements and people talking to you. The trade-off is that they do not block outside noise. A Soundcore UK customer review reports difficulty hearing the earbuds in a noisy train station. That is one buyer’s experience, not a controlled test, but it matches what the open design implies. If you need isolation for a commute or an open-plan office, an in-ear model with active noise cancellation will do more of that job.

Durability claim
Soundcore says the open-ring construction uses memory titanium wire and soft TPU and is designed to tolerate 20,000 bends. That is a manufacturer claim. No independent durability test is cited for it, so read it as the company’s own design target.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Multipoint and Dual Connections
Dual Connections is enabled by default. When two devices are connected, audio switches to whichever device starts playback last. Notifications can also trigger a switch, which may surprise you if you keep a laptop and a phone connected at the same time. If that happens often, turn off notification-triggered switching in the companion app or disconnect the device you do not need.

Who this deal suits
- A good fit: you want an open-ear fit, you need to hear your surroundings, you run or walk outdoors and want light sweat and rain covered, and you want two-device switching.
- A poor fit: you need noise isolation, you plan to wear them in heavy rain or swimming, or you want maximum battery life at high volume.
- Price check: if the live Amazon price is well above $105.99 when you read this, compare against other current listings on the same axes before buying.
At the reported price, the AeroClip is a reasonable buy for someone who has already decided that an open-ear design suits them. At full price, the case for it depends on whether the fit and the 8-hour battery figure match what you need.
Regional pricing and freshness
Soundcore’s UK page shows different regional pricing, so do not carry UK prices or UK discounts over to a US purchase. The Android Authority report is dated October 8, 2026. Amazon prices, stock, sellers and promotions can change at any time, which is why the price check above matters more than the headline percentage.
No independent lab measurements of battery, water resistance or durability are cited here. The specifications above are manufacturer figures, and the deal terms are the reporting publication’s figures.
