SoundBreak launched on February 17, 2026, as a platform for co-writing songs with AI models shaped by participating artists’ songwriting styles. The company says these models are not voice replicas; users can work on lyrics, melodies, hooks, and song structure, then export stems or distribute eligible tracks under SoundBreak’s stated licensing terms.
What is SoundBreak?
SoundBreak is an AI-assisted songwriting service. Users select an artist, provide a prompt, lyric, or verse, and collaborate with an AI co-writer on song elements such as melodies, lyrics, hooks, and structure. The platform also describes immersive 3D versions of artists’ writing spaces. Its official site presents the service as co-writing guided by an artist’s songwriting approach, not a way to reproduce that artist’s voice.
The February 17, 2026, launch announcement named Jaren Johnston of The Cadillac Three, Michael Fitzpatrick of Fitz and the Tantrums, Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra, David Ryan Harris, Sam Hollander, and Max Frost as launch collaborators. It also named Soundverse as a partner on the foundational AI model. This is the launch-era list in the announcement, not confirmation of SoundBreak’s complete or current roster. The announcement’s “first” and artist-focused positioning are SoundBreak’s own claims, not independently established industry findings. Read the launch announcement.

What does “licensed artist model” mean here?
SoundBreak describes its AI co-writers as artists who opt in to participate and can receive compensation through the platform. The artist’s role as an AI co-writer is distinct from the rights to the material used to train the underlying generation technology. SoundBreak’s FAQ says those training materials are governed by technology partners’ authorizations, agreements, and applicable law; where partners license music for training, compensation is handled under those partner agreements, separately from payments to SoundBreak’s AI co-writers. Those are the platform’s descriptions of its arrangements, not an independent audit of training data or payments. See SoundBreak’s FAQ.

That distinction matters: an artist opting into a co-writer role does not, by itself, establish that the artist licensed every item of training data used by the technology partner. Conversely, a partner’s training-data license is not the same thing as an artist’s participation as a co-writer.
Does SoundBreak copy an artist’s voice?
SoundBreak says no: its model is intended to reflect songwriting style, “but not their voice,” and its FAQ says the AI co-writer is not the artist themselves. The appropriate description is an artist-inspired songwriting model or AI co-writer—not a voice clone or digital replica. This is SoundBreak’s product description; it should not be read as an independent technical evaluation of generated output.

Plans and distribution options
SoundBreak’s public pricing page displays three monthly plans and different track and distribution allowances. The listed terms may change, and the page also shows additional per-track charges and limits; check the live page before choosing a plan. View current pricing.
| Plan | Displayed price | Listed monthly allowance and channels |
|---|---|---|
| Free Trial | $0/month | Up to six tracks licensed for royalty-free distribution per month. |
| Creator Mode | $9/month | Up to 50 tracks per month; distribution to TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Content ID. |
| Artist Mode | $29/month | Up to 100 tracks per month; distribution to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. |
SoundBreak distinguishes royalty-free social use from a Distribution License for major streaming platforms. The platform says distribution is handled through Revelator and that releasing the same tracks through another distributor is not currently supported. It also says distribution credits are registered in metadata and cannot be changed when releasing through third-party distributors. These are SoundBreak’s stated terms, so verify them in the current FAQ and license before release.

- ✔️[High-fidelity sound quality, accurate sampling] The Synido 2x2 audio interface uses a high-quality independent audio chip to reduce recording latency, support 24-bit depth and 48kHz sampling rate, and ensure every detail is restored. Whether it is recording or live broadcasting, it can provide a clear and natural sound quality experience

In Stereo mode, independent left and right channels present the original input (such as a microphone or instrument), which is suitable for accurate recording. Mix mode can mix input audio and computer audio in real-time, which is suitable for live broadcast or recording, and is easy to adjust instantly. USB mode only monitors computer audio, which is suitable for post-editing or audio processing. Whether it is recording, live broadcast, or post-production, the three modes can be easily switched to make audio creation more efficient and professional
- ✔️[User-friendly design] The audio interface is intuitively designed, and equipped with three independent control areas, and the XLR interface supports 6.35mm and XLR microphones, which are compatible with various devices. The green, orange, and red LED lights display the volume level, helping you to grasp the volume status at any time and avoid distortion. Supports easy switching between Line In and instrument input, adapts to different devices, reduces interference and distortion, and does not need to adjust gain frequently, improving efficiency
- ✔️[Professional 48V phantom power] Synido audio interface is equipped with 48V phantom power switch and supports 48V dynamic microphone with excellent noise reduction performance, provides a highly sensitive recording experience, accurately picks up sound, and effectively reduces noise interference, ensuring clear and stable sound quality output
- ✔️[Lightweight and portable, plug and play, create at any time] The USB audio interface weighs only 300g and measures 14 x 11.5x 4.5 cm. It is compact and portable and can be taken anywhere anytime. Equipped with a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter and a USB-C to USB-A data cable, you can easily use it by directly connecting to your mobile phone or computer
Who receives royalties from distributed songs?
SoundBreak says publishing royalties for distributed tracks are allocated 50% to the creator, 25% to the AI co-writer, and 25% to SoundBreak. The platform says royalties typically take three to five months to process and appear; that timing is a SoundBreak FAQ statement, not a general rule for the music industry. Review the current distribution terms before relying on the split or timing for a release.
Can you edit and release SoundBreak songs?
SoundBreak says users can export stems, edit them in a digital audio workstation (DAW), and upload a finished version to the platform. For that workflow, headphones are an optional listening accessory, not a SoundBreak requirement or recommendation.

The FAQ makes a specific distinction about distribution licenses: it says tracks exported with a distribution license while a plan is active remain licensed permanently. It also says cancellation requires taking down tracks distributed before the cancellation takes effect. Because those statements address different steps—license duration and continued distribution—check the live terms for the status of a particular track before cancelling or changing distributors.
