The Sony K-75XR50 is the 75-inch-class version of Sony’s 2025 BRAVIA 5: a 4K LCD television with Mini LED backlighting, local dimming and a native 120 Hz panel. Sony lists 4K at 120 Hz, VRR and ALLM, but VRR is specified only on HDMI inputs 3 and 4. Independent measurements available for the BRAVIA 5 are from a 65-inch set, so they should not be treated as test results for this 75-inch model.

Is the Sony K-75XR50 worth buying?

It is worth considering if you want a large 4K screen with Mini LED local dimming, a 120 Hz panel and current console-gaming features. Sony’s specifications establish the K-75XR50’s hardware and supported features; they do not establish its measured brightness, contrast, blooming performance or current U.S. price. Those details matter when comparing it with other televisions, so check current pricing and look for independent results for the exact 75-inch model before deciding.

The closest independent test evidence in the available coverage is TechRadar’s September 2026 review of a 65-inch BRAVIA 5. Its measurements and observations are useful context for the series, but they are not verified measurements of the K-75XR50.

What are the K-75XR50’s picture specifications?

Sony identifies the K-75XR50 as a 2025 BRAVIA 5 with a 74.5-inch diagonal 4K LCD panel (3,840 × 2,160 pixels). Its backlight uses Mini LED technology with local dimming, and the panel’s native refresh rate is 120 Hz. Sony also lists an XR Processor, XR Triluminos Pro and XR Backlight Master Drive.

Is the Sony BRAVIA 5 a good TV for gaming?

On paper, the K-75XR50 has the key features expected for 4K console gaming: a native 120 Hz panel, 4K120 support, variable refresh rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). Sony lists VRR on HDMI 3 and HDMI 4, while ALLM is listed for all four HDMI inputs. Sony also lists PS5 Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode.

TechRadar’s September 2026 review found 4K120 gaming on two HDMI ports, VRR support without AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync, and no 144 Hz or 165 Hz mode on its tested 65-inch BRAVIA 5. It reported a 13.3 ms response figure for 60 Hz gaming. Those are results and observations for the review’s 65-inch set, not verified K-75XR50 test data; the Sony specification page is the relevant source for this model’s advertised port features.

Does the Sony K-75XR50 support 4K at 120Hz?

Yes. Sony lists 4K120 among the K-75XR50’s HDMI 2.1 features, and the panel has a native 120 Hz refresh rate. If you need VRR, connect the source to HDMI 3 or HDMI 4, the two inputs Sony identifies for that feature. ALLM is listed across HDMI 1 through 4.

How many HDMI ports does the K-75XR50 have?

Sony lists four side-mounted HDMI inputs. Its specifications identify VRR on HDMI 3 and 4 and ALLM on HDMI 1 through 4. This distinction matters when planning a console, PC or receiver setup: having four inputs does not mean every listed gaming feature is available on every input.

What did the independent BRAVIA 5 review measure?

TechRadar’s September 2026 review reports its own count of 240 local-dimming zones on the 65-inch BRAVIA 5 it tested. It measured nearly 900 nits on a 10% HDR window and 595 nits on a full-field (100%) HDR window. These are measurements of that tested screen size and unit; neither Sony nor the review establishes that the 75-inch K-75XR50 produces the same results.

Use those figures as evidence about one tested member of the series, not as a substitute for a model-specific review. The outlet’s BRAVIA 5 review contains its test findings and gaming observations.

What smart-TV, connectivity and audio features are included?

Sony lists Google TV, access to the Google Play Store, Chromecast built-in, AirPlay and HomeKit. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6. For audio, the listed formats and connections include Dolby Atmos support and eARC/ARC; the built-in speakers are specified as four 10 W channels (10 W + 10 W + 10 W + 10 W). Sony also lists Acoustic Center Sync compatibility, but that is not a test or recommendation of a particular soundbar.

What size wall mount fits the Sony K-75XR50?

The listed VESA hole pattern is 300 × 300 mm. Sony gives the television’s weight without the stand as 79.8 lb and its stand-off dimensions as 65.88 × 37.88 × 2.38 inches (width × height × depth). With the stand in its inside position, listed dimensions are 65.88 × 39 × 16 inches.

Choose a mount whose VESA pattern matches and whose load rating safely exceeds the television’s weight. Also check that the mount suits the wall material, fasteners, desired movement and cable clearance; a matching 300 × 300 mm pattern alone does not establish that a mount is suitable. Sony’s U.S. manuals and setup documents are available for installation details.

What should you check before buying?

  • Measure the room and wall for a 74.5-inch-diagonal screen, including clearance for the stand or wall mount.
  • Plan which devices need HDMI 3 or 4 if they require VRR; Sony lists ALLM on all four HDMI inputs.
  • Compare current prices and seek independent picture measurements for the 75-inch model if brightness, contrast or blooming is a deciding factor.
  • For a wall installation, verify the mount’s VESA fit, load rating and suitability for the wall and installation.

Sony’s Japan announcement gives June 7, 2025 as the release date for the K-75XR50 in Japan; that date does not establish U.S. availability. Check local listings for current stock and pricing.
