The Sony K-75XR30M2 is a 75-inch-class 2026 BRAVIA 3 II LCD TV with a native 120 Hz panel, Dolby Vision, and 4K/120 gaming support. Its strongest case is a big-screen setup that needs broad gaming and streaming features; its main compromise is weak black-level performance, which can make dark-room movies less satisfying. RTINGS tested the 65-inch family model, not this 75-inch version, so its picture-quality findings are useful family-level evidence rather than direct measurements of this exact set.

What is the Sony K-75XR30M2?

Sony identifies the K-75XR30M2 as the 2026 BRAVIA 3 II. It is a 75-inch-class LCD television with a 74.5-inch measured diagonal and 3840 × 2160 resolution. Sony lists Direct LED backlighting and frame dimming; this is not an OLED or Mini LED set, and the specifications do not identify full-array local dimming.

The panel’s native refresh rate is 120 Hz. Sony also uses the feature label “Motionflow XR 480,” but that marketing label should not be confused with a 480 Hz native panel refresh rate. Sony lists HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision, along with its XR Processor, XR Clear Image, and XR TRILUMINOS PRO processing and color features. Sony’s specifications page does not provide a peak-luminance figure.

How good is the picture?

Independent review evidence points to capable processing but a meaningful contrast limitation. RTINGS’ review, published August 6, 2026, reports good handling of lower-quality streams, reflection handling, and viewing angles for the BRAVIA 3 II. It also reports poor black levels and bright details that can look dull or flat. The reviewer considers the family a poor fit for dark-room home theater because of contrast and black-uniformity shortcomings.

RTINGS bought and tested the 65-inch model; it says results are expected to be mostly valid for other sizes, but that does not establish a measured result for the K-75XR30M2 itself. The evidence does not provide a direct 75-inch brightness or contrast measurement. For a bright or mixed-use room, the reported reflection handling and viewing angles are positives; for lights-off movie watching, the black-level weakness is the more consequential trade-off. See the RTINGS BRAVIA 3 II review for its test scope and findings.

Is the Sony K-75XR30M2 good for gaming?

On paper, it is unusually well equipped for gaming: Sony lists four HDMI inputs, each with VRR and ALLM, and support for 3840 × 2160 at 120 Hz. The HDMI 2.1 feature list also includes eARC and SBTM. That combination is relevant to current consoles and gaming PCs that can output 4K/120, though actual operation depends on the connected device, cable, and settings.

RTINGS reports 4K/120 support with current consoles or gaming PCs and smooth motion for the 65-inch unit it tested. Sony’s specifications establish the feature support, not measured input lag or image quality in game mode for the 75-inch model. Buyers who need those specific performance measurements should not infer them from the listed ports alone.

Will it fit your room, furniture, and wall?

The set measures 65.75 × 38.06 × 2.81 inches without its stand and 65.75 × 40.56 × 13.69 inches with the stand. The stand’s outside width is 58.69 inches. It weighs 68.8 lb without the stand and 71.3 lb with it. The VESA mounting pattern is 400 × 400 mm.

  • Measure the furniture’s usable width and depth, including space for the stand and any sound equipment.
  • Check the TV’s route into the room, including doorways, hallways, and stairs.
  • For wall mounting, confirm the wall structure and stud spacing, and choose a mount that supports both the 400 × 400 mm pattern and the TV’s weight. The pattern alone does not confirm compatibility or load rating.
  • Check that your planned seating distance and layout work for a 75-inch-class screen.

Is the Sony K-75XR30M2 worth buying?

It is a reasonable candidate if you want a large Sony Google TV with a native 120 Hz panel, 4K/120, VRR, and Dolby Vision, and you mostly watch in a room where the reported weak black levels are less distracting. It is harder to recommend for a dedicated dark-room cinema setup, where black performance and contrast matter more than a broad gaming feature list.

Compare the price with other 75-inch TVs that offer stronger contrast or local dimming before deciding. The available evidence does not establish a direct rival comparison or current competitor prices, so this is a comparison criterion rather than a claim that a particular alternative is better value. Sony’s U.S. page showed $1,049.99 against a listed $1,199.99 on October 7, 2026; price, promotion terms, and availability can change. Check the Sony U.S. product page for the current listing.
