TechRadar reported four Sony headphone discounts on October 5, 2026, ahead of Amazon’s U.S. Prime Big Deal Days on October 6–7. Those figures are dated snapshots, not confirmed live prices: check the exact listing, color, stock and Prime eligibility before buying.
Which Sony headphones were reported on sale?
The prices below were reported by TechRadar on October 5, 2026. They have not been independently verified as current offers, and the reference prices are those cited by TechRadar rather than independently checked price-history figures. TechRadar’s October 5 deal report also says the two newest models it highlighted had not been reviewed by its team.
| Model | Reported price | Reference price in TechRadar’s report | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sony WH-CH730N | $148 | $179.99 | Over-ear headphones with noise cancellation; only the black model was described as officially discounted. |
| Sony WH-CH530 | $58 | $69.99 | On-ear headphones without active noise cancellation. |
| Sony WH-CH520 | $33 | $69.99 | Predecessor to the WH-CH530; TechRadar says it lacks active noise cancellation. |
| Sony WH-1000XM5 | $198 | $248 recent price; $399 launch price | Past-generation premium noise-cancelling model. Both reference prices are figures cited in TechRadar’s report. |
How the models differ
WH-CH730N: over-ear with noise cancellation
The WH-CH730N is the only model in this group described as over-ear and noise-cancelling. TechRadar positions it below Sony’s flagship 1000X line. Its report says the black variant was the one officially discounted, so confirm the selected color and its price on the listing.

The WH-CH530 is an on-ear model without active noise cancellation. The older WH-CH520 was reported at a lower price and likewise lacks ANC. The price gap alone does not establish which is the better buy; compare the live listing, model and fit that suit you.

Amazon’s official U.S. event announcement says Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6–7, 2026. Event offers are exclusive to Prime members, limited-time and subject to availability. That event-wide information does not confirm that any of these four headphone listings is currently discounted.
