The 2024 Sony BRAVIA 9 K-75XR90 is a 75-inch-class 4K Mini LED Google TV with Dolby Vision, 4K/120 Hz, VRR and four HDMI inputs. Sony’s specifications make it a feature-rich premium set, but the available evidence here does not establish measured brightness, blooming, input lag or overall picture quality. Whether it is worth its premium price depends on those real-world results and the current price and availability.
What is the Sony K-75XR90?
The K-75XR90 is Sony’s 2024 75-inch-class BRAVIA 9: a 4K HDR Mini LED television with QLED color and Google TV. It is a distinct model from the later BRAVIA 9 II, model K75XR90M2; specifications for one should not be assumed to describe the other. Sony lists the 2024 set at 3840 × 2160 resolution. Sony’s product page provides the model’s current listing and feature details.
Picture technology and what the specifications establish
Sony says XR Backlight Master Drive controls thousands of Mini LEDs, and pairs that backlight with QLED color, XR Triluminos Pro and XR processing. The company markets the set as its brightest 4K TV. Its FAQ also says the BRAVIA 9 has about 325% more dimming zones and is about 50% brighter than the 2023 X95L. Those are Sony’s own comparative claims, not independent measurements.
These design and format specifications do not establish how bright the television gets in a particular picture mode, how well it controls halos around bright objects, or how it performs in a sunlit room. No independent measurements of luminance, black levels, blooming, reflection handling, motion or image quality are established here. Buyers who need a performance verdict should look for a measurement-based review of this exact K-75XR90 model rather than infer results from Sony’s marketing or from another BRAVIA 9 generation.

HDR formats and gaming features
Sony lists Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG support. For gaming, the company lists 4K/120 Hz, variable refresh rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), as well as PS5-specific picture features. These indicate format and feature compatibility; they do not, by themselves, show input lag, gaming brightness or how consistently the set maintains picture quality in a particular mode.
Smart TV, sound and connections
The K-75XR90 runs Google TV. Sony also lists Chromecast built-in and Apple AirPlay 2. Its FAQ describes a 2.2.2-channel speaker system and Dolby Atmos support, with four HDMI inputs, two of which Sony identifies as HDMI 2.1. Sony lists Acoustic Center Sync support when the television is paired with specified compatible Sony soundbars or receivers; compatible products and availability can vary by region. Sony’s Acoustic Center Sync compatibility information gives examples and regional qualifications.

Can you wall-mount the 75-inch Sony BRAVIA 9?
Yes. Sony’s compatibility chart gives the K-75XR90 a 300 × 300 mm VESA hole pattern and an approximate weight without the stand of 42.3 kg (93.2 lb). Choose a mount explicitly compatible with that pattern and rated to support at least the television’s weight; the wall structure, fixings and installation must also be suitable. Check the chart and the mount instructions before installation. Sony’s mount compatibility chart was last modified January 20, 2026.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the K-75XR90 worth it?
The specifications point to a premium feature set: Mini LED backlighting, Sony’s stated local-dimming and color technologies, Dolby Vision, 4K/120 Hz gaming features, Google TV, and a 300 × 300 mm mounting pattern. But a confident value judgment requires independent testing of the exact model and a current price. In particular, check measured HDR brightness, blooming, reflection handling and input lag if those matter to your room or use. The feature list alone cannot settle whether this television is a better buy than another premium set.
