The $7,000 Sonic release is Sonic the Hedgehog Arita Ware “Infinite Blue,” a numbered porcelain display collectible—not a new game. Its scheduled sales begin October 9, 2026, with an online lottery and a separate five-piece first-come sale at Ikebukuro PARCO. The edition is limited to 50 pieces worldwide.
What is the $7,000 Sonic release?
“Infinite Blue” is a Sonic the Hedgehog figure made from Arita porcelain. The official YOYOYO store lists it at 15.6 cm wide × 22.8 cm deep × 21.3 cm high, and says each piece comes with a certificate, pedestal, and wooden box. It is intended as a display collectible rather than a playable toy or video game.
The announced edition is 50 numbered pieces worldwide. That is the stated edition size; it does not establish how many will be available through each sales route.

| Overseas | US$7,000 | Shipping and import charges are additional, according to the YOYOYO official store. |
The overseas price should not be treated as a landed total: the store’s listing says buyers may also owe shipping and import charges. The published listing does not provide a single additional amount applicable to all destinations.

The makers’ description presents the design as a Sonic silhouette paired with an infinity-shaped speed trail. It combines gosu blue, shippo (interlocking circles), seigaiha (wave patterns), yagasuri (arrow-feather patterns), and red akae decoration. The announcement credits 224porcelain with forming the piece and Li-Sho Kiln (李荘窯) with painting and finishing. These are the makers’ process and design descriptions as reported in the product announcement.

Why is it being released now?
Sonic’s 35th anniversary fell on June 23, 2026, tracing the character to the 1991 game. PARCO’s official exhibition page reports more than 1.77 billion cumulative series units for full games and free-to-play titles combined, attributing the figure to SEGA. That total covers both categories; it should not be read as paid game sales alone.
