SEGA’s official gear shop lists a ten-product Sonic the Hedgehog 35th anniversary collection, and it is open for purchase now. “Available now” needs one qualification, though. Not every item can be bought for immediate shipping. Two products are marked as preorders, two are out of stock, and the official sources do not identify a single launch date for the collection as a whole.
What is in the collection
The SEGA Gear Store collection page lists ten anniversary products across four groups: clothing, accessories, collectibles, and home/office items. Prices are displayed in US dollars.
| Product | Group | Displayed price (USD) | Status on the collection page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Varsity jacket | Clothing | $149.99 | Not stated |
| Chaos Emerald tee | Clothing | $34.99 | Not stated |
| Green Hill Zone tee | Clothing | $34.99 | Not stated |
| Snapback hat | Accessory | $34.99 | Not stated |
| Run crossbody bag | Accessory | $54.99 | Preorder |
| SuperSonic Hero pin set | Accessory | Not stated | Out of stock |
| Green Hill Zone statue | Collectible | $184.99 | Preorder |
| Varsity jacket buddy plush | Collectible | Not stated | Out of stock |
| Mug | Home/office | $24.99 | Not stated |
| Journal | Home/office | $17.99 | Not stated |
A “not stated” status means the collection page did not mark that item as a preorder or as out of stock when it was checked. It does not confirm that the item is in stock, and you should confirm availability on the product page before ordering.

What “available now” means for each item
- Listed for purchase: Seven products carry no preorder or out-of-stock label. These are the varsity jacket, the Chaos Emerald tee, the Green Hill Zone tee, the snapback hat, the mug, and the journal, plus the Green Hill Zone statue and crossbody bag only once their preorder window opens, which the listing does not date.
- Preorder: The Green Hill Zone statue ($184.99) and the Run crossbody bag ($54.99) are marked preorder. The collection page does not state when they will ship.
- Out of stock: The varsity jacket buddy plush and the SuperSonic Hero pin set. The sources reviewed do not say whether or when either will be restocked.
Because of these mixed statuses, the headline’s “now” refers to the live listings, not to a dated release. The official sources reviewed do not name one launch date for the collection.

The anniversary behind the merchandise
SEGA says Sonic the Hedgehog reaches its 35th anniversary in 2026. The original Sonic the Hedgehog game was released in 1991. SEGA announced the anniversary site and a trailer on January 16, 2026, and said it planned further campaigns during the anniversary year. The official anniversary site lists anniversary topics and events through July 2026. This article does not cover events after that date.
SEGA’s January 16, 2026 announcement uses the following sentence, shown here as an English translation of the Japanese original:
