There is no official, definitive Solo Leveling: Arise tier list. The latest rankings available here are editorial lists updated October 1 and 4, 2026, and they disagree on several hunters. Use them as version-dated starting points—not as proof that one character is always best. For weapons, Pocket Gamer’s Custom Draw recommendations include Demonic Plum Flower Sword, The Huntsman, Thethis’ Grimoire, and Demon King’s Longsword.
What changed in the latest official update?
Netmarble’s August 27, 2026 update introduced Lee Joohee (Pilgrim of the Labyrinth), a Light-element Buster, and Sung Jinwoo’s exclusive SSR weapon Spirit Blade: Snowstorm. It also adjusted selected Sung Jinwoo weapons, hunters, and artifact set effects. The announcement confirms those changes but does not rank the new weapon or publish an official tier order. Because balance changes can alter the value of existing builds, treat rankings as snapshots and check them again after a newer patch.

Hunter tier lists: two current rankings, not one consensus
Pocket Gamer’s hunter list is marked updated October 4, 2026, for version 1.4.46. Gacha Go!’s list is marked updated October 1, 2026. Their placements differ substantially, so the tables below keep each publisher’s ranking separate rather than blending them into a misleading consensus.

Gacha Go! also lists B, C, and D tiers, but the available ranking details do not enumerate those entries here. Its list describes the placements as indicative and says player enjoyment matters too. See Gacha Go!’s full tier list.
Where the lists disagree
Seo Jiwoo is S+ on Pocket Gamer but C on Gacha Go!, a major difference that makes a blended “best hunters” ranking unreliable. Thomas Andre is A on both in the details available here. Han Se-Mi is S on Gacha Go! and A on Pocket Gamer; Cha Hae-In (Pure Sword Princess) is S on both. Check variant character labels carefully when comparing entries.

Best weapons to prioritize in Custom Draw
Pocket Gamer recommends these weapons when prioritizing Custom Draw: Demonic Plum Flower Sword, The Huntsman, Thethis’ Grimoire, and Demon King’s Longsword. This is that publication’s guidance, not an official Netmarble ranking. Pocket Gamer also notes that equipping a hunter with their default weapon can strengthen that pairing. Spirit Blade: Snowstorm is a Sung Jinwoo-exclusive SSR weapon added in the August 27 update. Netmarble’s announcement says selected weapons received balance adjustments, but it does not say where Snowstorm ranks against the Custom Draw recommendations.

How to choose who to build
A tier label cannot account for every encounter or account. Gacha Go! says its hunter rankings consider raw damage, support utility, and shield-breaking efficiency. Netmarble describes combat as combinations of skills and weapons. Apply those factors to the content you are tackling, rather than treating a list position as a universal answer.
- Match the job to the encounter: consider whether you need damage, support, shield breaking, or a specific party role.
- Check element and boss: Lee Joohee’s official update description identifies her as a Light-element Buster; that role and element are relevant when judging fit for your lineup and target.
- Consider weapon pairing: a hunter’s default weapon may strengthen the pairing, according to Pocket Gamer’s guide.
- Account for investment: a highly ranked hunter is not automatically the right place to spend tickets, Essence Stones, or other resources if your roster already covers the needed role.
- Revisit after balance changes: the August update adjusted selected weapons, hunters, and artifact set effects, so older placements may not reflect later patches.
Sources and ranking limits
Pocket Gamer’s page was updated October 4, 2026, and specifies version 1.4.46; Gacha Go!’s page was updated October 1, 2026. Those are editorial evaluations, not game-defined truths or measured game-wide performance statistics. Their disagreement is itself a reason to use rankings as guidance rather than certainty.
