The Sodola SL-SWTG015AS-POE is a compact, fanless, unmanaged 2.5GbE switch with four PoE+ ports and a 10GbE SFP+ uplink. It is a practical fit for a small plug-and-play network, but its limited port count, fixed configuration and PoE power budget make it less suitable for larger or power-hungry installations.
What ports and features does the Sodola SL-SWTG015AS-POE have?
The switch has five 2.5GbE RJ45 ports and one 10GbE SFP+ port. Four of the RJ45 ports provide PoE/PoE+ power; the fifth RJ45 port is data-only. The SFP+ port can serve as a high-speed uplink, typically to a compatible switch or router. The compact desktop enclosure is fanless and includes wall-mount points. Is it managed?
No. The SL-SWTG015AS-POE is unmanaged and has no management interface. It is therefore a plug-and-play option, not a switch for configuring VLANs, QoS policies or centralized network settings. It makes more sense where connected devices can share a basic network and the router or another device handles any required network controls.
Will it power 2.5GbE devices?
Yes. Its four PoE/PoE+ RJ45 ports carry network traffic at up to 2.5GbE while supplying power to compatible endpoints. Those ports can suit devices such as access points and cameras, but each device must support a PoE standard the switch provides. The uplink is a separate 10GbE SFP+ port; using it requires a compatible SFP+ transceiver or DAC and compatible equipment at the other end.

Power capacity is the main qualification. The unit has a 65 W internal power supply. ServeTheHome estimated that the switch itself uses 6–9 W, leaving approximately 56–59 W for PoE devices. That may not be enough to run four devices drawing the full 25.5 W PoE+ figure simultaneously; many lower-draw endpoints should be a more realistic match.
How much power does it use?
ServeTheHome measured the following switch power figures in its 2024 review. These are switch-consumption readings under the stated conditions, not the total power drawn by attached PoE devices.

Actual wall consumption will vary with configuration and powered devices. A PoE device’s draw is additional to the switch’s own consumption, within the available power budget.

How does it perform, and is it silent?
ServeTheHome characterized performance as decent but not top-tier. Its assessment places the model toward the lower end of the options it considered, in part because it has fewer ports than more common 4+2 and 8+1 layouts. The published assessment does not establish a sustained-load throughput figure here, so it is better not to treat the 2.5GbE and 10GbE link rates as a guarantee of measured throughput under every workload.

The design is fanless, so there is no switch cooling fan to add noise. Fanless construction suits quiet offices and home labs, though the supplied review details do not establish operating-temperature limits or thermal performance under every workload.
Who should buy it?
- Consider it for a small home lab or office needing a few 2.5GbE connections, PoE for cameras or access points, and a faster SFP+ uplink without switch management.
- Look elsewhere if you need VLANs, QoS, centralized configuration, more than four powered endpoints, or enough PoE capacity for four maximum-draw PoE+ devices at once.
- Check the port plan before buying: one of the five RJ45 ports is non-PoE, and the SFP+ uplink requires compatible hardware and cabling.
Was it worth the price?
ServeTheHome recorded a purchase price of $86 and a publication-time price of $76 in July 2024. Those are historical figures, not a current quote; check the live listing before comparing it with other 2.5GbE switches. Its value depends on whether the combination of four PoE+ ports, fanless operation and SFP+ uplink fits your network. The modest port count and lack of management limit its appeal if you need room to grow or configuration controls.
