The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x (14-inch, 11) is an official match for the six-core Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100—but the product family also includes Snapdragon X2 Elite versions. Lenovo’s specifications establish the available configurations and battery-life claims; they do not establish that a particular laptop was tested for 15 days. This article therefore sets out what can be verified and how to assess a 15-day test without presenting manufacturer estimates as personal results.
Which Lenovo laptop matches the Snapdragon X2 Plus?
Lenovo identifies the Yoga Slim 7 14Q8Y11, marketed as the Yoga Slim 7x (14-inch, 11), as a model with a six-core Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 option. The same product family also offers Snapdragon X2 Elite processors, so the family name alone does not confirm which chip is inside a specific laptop. See Lenovo’s Yoga Slim 7 14Q8Y11 specifications for the listed configurations.
Check the exact regional SKU and processor before treating a retailer listing as the X2 Plus model. Lenovo says configuration availability varies by region and directs customers to local sales channels for current availability. A similarly named Lenovo laptop is not necessarily the same model: for example, the IdeaPad Slim 5 15Q8Y11 is a distinct product, not another name for the Yoga Slim 7x.

The 14Q8Y11 has a listed 70 Wh battery. Lenovo’s maximum estimates depend on the screen configuration:

| 2.8K OLED | Up to 16.3 hours | Up to 25.5 hours |
These are Lenovo’s approximate maximum claims, not independent measurements or a prediction of what every owner will see. Lenovo says its battery estimates use one of several benchmark methods: MobileMark variants, JEITA variants, continuous 1080p video playback at 150 nits with default volume, or Google Power Load Test. The particular method can vary by claim. Lenovo also warns that actual runtime depends on configuration, software, wireless use, power settings and screen brightness.
Lenovo lists Rapid Charge Express as capable of adding three hours of runtime from a 15-minute charge, with the stated function applying while the laptop is hibernating or fully shut down. It is a manufacturer specification, not evidence of charging performance under every use condition.

How to make a 15-day test meaningful
A useful test needs to identify the laptop and keep the conditions visible. Without the author’s records, no firsthand 15-day use, exact test unit or measured runtime can be established. For a real review, record the following rather than presenting a family-level specification as a test result:
- Unit: the complete model or regional SKU, processor, display, memory and storage.
- Conditions: screen brightness, wireless state, power mode and software version.
- Workload: describe the actual mix of browsing, video, calls, writing or other tasks, and note when the laptop is idle or asleep.
- Results: distinguish measured runtime from Lenovo’s benchmark maximums, and explain how runtime was measured.
For comparisons between configurations, keep workload and brightness consistent and identify the processor and display for each result. A WUXGA OLED figure should not be compared with a 2.8K OLED figure as if the screen were unchanged; likewise, a manufacturer benchmark claim is not directly interchangeable with a writer’s day-to-day observation.

What to check before buying
- Open Lenovo’s Yoga Slim 7 14Q8Y11 specification page and confirm the processor option, display, memory and storage for the configuration being considered.
- Check the local Lenovo store or authorized sales channel for the region-specific SKU and current availability. Lenovo’s PSREF model listings note that availability can vary by region.
- Compare the listing’s full model identifier—not just “Yoga Slim 7x”—against the intended configuration. Do not assume that every Yoga Slim 7x uses Snapdragon X2 Plus, or confuse it with the separate IdeaPad Slim 5 15Q8Y11.
