Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 leads the published benchmark aggregates by a wide margin, while Dimensity 6360 is a more modest 6 nm platform built around Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 CPU cores. Treat the scores as indicative comparisons, not results from a controlled test of matched phones: device cooling, memory, software, and other hardware can change real-world performance.
There is also a naming distinction: Qualcomm’s official product page calls its platform Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while MediaTek’s official page calls its chip Dimensity 6360. “Dimensity 6360 Apex” appears in 91mobiles’ variant listings; MediaTek’s page does not provide a separate specification sheet under that name.
How the chip names and evidence differ
The official vendor pages identify Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and Dimensity 6360, respectively. The “Apex” label is used by 91mobiles for a Dimensity 6360 variant associated with phones and benchmark results. That distinction matters: the available material does not establish that MediaTek’s official Dimensity 6360 specifications independently validate every Apex-specific detail.

Snapdragon’s detailed figures in this table come from NanoReview, not all from Qualcomm’s inspected product page. MediaTek’s figures are from its official Dimensity 6360 page. Maximum platform support does not mean a phone implements every feature: manufacturers choose components and configurations, and network performance depends on the device and network.
Benchmark results: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 versus Dimensity 6360
The available aggregates favor Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in both overall and CPU results. In particular, the listed AnTuTu results show a much higher total and GPU component for Snapdragon. These are cross-source figures, not a matched-device comparison under identical test conditions.

A separate NanoReview page for the base Dimensity 6360 lists 612,702 in AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6 scores of 782 single-core and 1,989 multi-core. NanoReview identifies fewer than three samples for some tests on that page. Because the Apex and base-chip labels appear on different pages, and the listed results do not align exactly, they should not be collapsed into one definitive Dimensity 6360 score.
Benchmark version and device conditions matter. The cited pages do not establish identical phone configurations, cooling, or controlled conditions across the results. Use the figures to understand the broad published performance gap, not to predict an exact score or sustained gaming frame rate for a particular phone.

What the results mean for gaming and everyday use
CPU and general performance
The published CPU scores favor Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Its listed CPU configuration also includes a Cortex-X4 core and multiple Cortex-A720 cores, whereas MediaTek specifies two Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores for Dimensity 6360. That supports treating Snapdragon as the higher-tier option in this comparison, but it does not establish how quickly a specific phone opens apps or handles a particular workload.
Graphics and gaming
The AnTuTu GPU component listed for Snapdragon is substantially higher than the Dimensity Apex table’s GPU component. This points to a broad graphics advantage in the available aggregate results, but a chip score is not a substitute for sustained game testing: phone cooling, power limits, screen resolution, and game settings affect performance over time.

MediaTek says Dimensity 6360 offers up to 57% faster gaming performance and up to 19% better gaming power efficiency versus “direct alternative smartphone chipsets.” The inspected vendor page does not identify those alternatives or a test method, so these are MediaTek claims, not a direct comparison with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.

Memory, storage, camera, and display
The listed platform support favors Snapdragon for memory and storage generations, while MediaTek’s official page specifies LPDDR4x and UFS 2.2. Likewise, the platform camera and display maxima are not promises about a finished phone’s camera quality or screen. Sensor choice, lenses, image processing, panel, and manufacturer implementation determine what a device actually delivers.

How to choose between phones using these chips
If performance is the priority, the published evidence points to a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 phone. But a phone purchase should be based on the complete device, not the processor name alone. Compare the exact regional models and configurations on these points:
- Matched-device benchmarks: Prefer results for the actual phone models, using the same benchmark version and comparable settings.
- Sustained gaming and cooling: Look for tests that show performance over longer sessions, not just a short peak score.
- Memory and storage configuration: Check the RAM and storage type in the specific model; platform support does not guarantee the phone’s configuration.
- Battery behavior: Consider measured battery life and charging behavior for the phone, rather than assuming a chipset-level efficiency claim predicts them.
- Camera and display implementation: Compare the actual sensors, screen resolution, refresh rate, and review results for the devices.
- Network support: Confirm the model’s supported bands and regional variant for your carrier; chipset-level connectivity does not guarantee every band is enabled in every phone.
91mobiles’ listings associate Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with devices including OnePlus Nord 6 and Nothing Phone (3), and Dimensity 6360 Apex with OnePlus N6 5G and OnePlus N6x 5G. Those listings identify examples, not a verification of current regional availability, pricing, or identical configurations.
