Apple’s A15 Bionic leads in the Geekbench 6 CPU scores reported by NanoReview, while NanoReview’s AnTuTu 11 entries are close—but explicitly are not directly comparable across iOS and Android. These figures are not results from a controlled, same-condition test, so they cannot guarantee which chip will feel faster in a particular phone. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 specifications also vary by platform version and device.
At a glance: which processor is faster?
For the Geekbench 6 results shown on NanoReview’s comparison page, the A15 Bionic has higher reported single-core and multi-core scores. For AnTuTu 11, the listed totals are close, but NanoReview warns that iOS and Android scores are not directly comparable. Neither comparison establishes a universal winner across all phones or workloads.
| Benchmark | Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 | Apple A15 Bionic | What the figures show |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 1,761 | 2,315 | A15 has the higher figure on NanoReview’s comparison page. |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 4,457 | 5,747 | A15 has the higher figure on NanoReview’s comparison page. |
| AnTuTu 11 total | 1,420,808 | 1,413,275 | The entries are close; NanoReview says iOS and Android results are not directly comparable. |
These are comparison-page figures, not guaranteed scores for every device. The Geekbench and AnTuTu values above are reported by NanoReview’s comparison, accessed October 7, 2026.

Geekbench 6 single-core
Single-core scores offer one view of CPU performance when a task relies heavily on one core. NanoReview lists 2,315 for A15 Bionic and 1,761 for Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. That favors A15 in this comparison, but it is not a same-phone, same-condition test.

Geekbench 6 multi-core
Multi-core scores measure a workload spread across multiple CPU cores. NanoReview lists 5,747 for A15 Bionic and 4,457 for Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Treat this as a reported comparison, not a prediction that every A15 phone will outperform every Snapdragon phone in every sustained task.
A separate iPhone 13 result illustrates why source details matter
A Geekbench record for an iPhone 13 identifies its processor as A15 Bionic and reports 2,285 single-core and 5,526 multi-core in Geekbench 6.7.2 for iOS AArch64. It was uploaded October 6, 2026, and represents one submitted phone run—not an A15-wide average. Geekbench notes that results from this legacy version can be compared only with other Geekbench 6 results and recommends Geekbench 7 for modern hardware. The iPhone 13 submission differs from NanoReview’s A15 figures. These scores come from different sources and records; they should not be blended or averaged into a single A15 score. The available evidence does not provide a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 device result with matching detail for a like-for-like comparison.

Why the AnTuTu 11 result is not a cross-platform verdict
NanoReview lists 1,420,808 for Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 1,413,275 for A15 Bionic in AnTuTu 11. Although those totals are close, the page explicitly cautions: “AnTuTu results from iOS and Android are not directly comparable!” The numbers are reported entries from the two platforms, not proof that one processor is faster overall.

Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform specifications
Qualcomm describes Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 as a premium mobile platform with a Kryo CPU, Adreno GPU, Hexagon processor and Tensor Accelerator, Snapdragon X65 5G modem-RF, and FastConnect 6900 connectivity. Qualcomm lists Wi-Fi 6E support, an 18-bit ISP, and a 4 nm process. These are platform specifications; a retail device’s implementation and enabled features depend on its manufacturer.
Qualcomm lists CPU speeds up to 3.2 GHz, but says a 3.0 GHz version also exists and advises buyers to consult the phone maker’s specifications for the exact device. The chip name alone therefore does not establish the CPU clock in a particular handset. See Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 specifications.

Qualcomm’s generational performance claims
Qualcomm says the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU offers 10% better CPU performance and 30% improved CPU power efficiency than the previous generation. It also claims the Adreno GPU has a 10% higher GPU clock speed and 30% lower GPU power than its predecessor. These are Qualcomm’s claims about improvement over the preceding Snapdragon platform—not measured advantages over A15 Bionic.
What these sources establish—and what they do not
The available figures support a narrow conclusion: NanoReview’s Geekbench 6 comparison favors A15 Bionic in both listed CPU tests, while its AnTuTu 11 totals are close and carry a cross-platform comparability warning. Qualcomm’s page establishes Snapdragon platform capabilities and Qualcomm’s stated generational improvements.

They do not establish a controlled GPU comparison, sustained-load winner, battery-life result, or direct comparison between named Snapdragon and A15 phones. Real results can vary with benchmark version, operating system, handset cooling, power limits, memory configuration, and manufacturer tuning. A chip’s benchmark capability is not the same as its sustained behavior inside a specific phone.
Quick Recap
How to use the comparison when choosing a phone
- Compare the exact handset models, not just processor names; Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 devices may use different platform versions and thermal designs.
- Check benchmark version, operating system, and device identity before comparing scores. A single submitted result is evidence about that run, not every phone using the chip.
- For gaming, long workloads, or battery life, look for testing of the specific phones under comparable conditions. The figures here do not establish a GPU, sustained-performance, or battery-life winner.
- Confirm connectivity and imaging features on the phone maker’s specification page. Platform support does not guarantee that a manufacturer enables every capability in a retail device.
