CPU-Monkey’s aggregated Geekbench 5 results favor the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in both single-core and multi-core scores. That comparison is a useful indicator, not a controlled test of two matched phones: a handset’s cooling, software, memory and configuration affect its performance. On paper, the chips also differ in CPU specifications, graphics and connectivity capabilities.
Geekbench 5 results: Snapdragon leads in CPU-Monkey’s aggregate
CPU-Monkey’s comparison page, last updated September 21, 2026, reports these aggregated scores:
| Geekbench 5 result | Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 | Dimensity 7020 |
|---|---|---|
| Single-core | 788 | 696 |
| Multi-core | 2,932 | 1,877 |
CPU-Monkey shows 2,513 single-core and 2,484 multi-core entries in its comparison. These are database aggregates from multiple devices, not results from a controlled phone-to-phone test. The page does not establish matched handset models, thermal conditions, software builds or benchmark runs. The scores therefore do not prove that every Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 phone will be faster than every Dimensity 7020 phone. See CPU-Monkey’s comparison.
Use the figures as one CPU-performance clue, not as a prediction of battery life, sustained gaming performance or overall phone value. Those comparisons require tests of the specific handsets under comparable conditions. Geekbench 6 results from other comparisons should not be mixed with these Geekbench 5 figures.

What the comparison means when choosing a phone
If CPU benchmark results are your main criterion, CPU-Monkey’s Geekbench 5 aggregates point to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. They cannot determine how a particular phone performs during long gaming sessions, whether it stays cool, or how long its battery lasts. Check independent tests of the exact handset models for those questions.
