There is no reliable, controlled benchmark comparison established for the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 and Exynos 1330 under the same phone, software, and test conditions. The available specifications show that Samsung publishes substantially more detail about the Exynos 1330, while Qualcomm’s launch announcement highlights the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2’s entry-level positioning and 1 Gbps peak download capability. That is not enough to declare an overall performance winner. For a buying decision, compare the exact phones, their regional versions, and the features that matter to you.

What the available evidence says about performance

No matched-device test or controlled head-to-head study for these exact chipsets is established by the available sources. A CPUBoss comparison page reports Geekbench 6 aggregate scores of 824 single-core and 1,867 multi-core for Snapdragon 4s Gen 2, versus 918 and 2,093 for Exynos 1330. But the page does not document matched phone models, software versions, thermal conditions, or its sampling method. Treat those numbers as an unverified third-party aggregate, not a controlled result or a dependable measure of how two phones will perform.

Another benchmark page is easy to misread: NanoReview’s AnTuTu 11 aggregates are 607,489 for Exynos 1330 and 568,395 for Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, based on 25 and 17 tests respectively. Its Geekbench 6 aggregates are 960/1,826 and 915/2,115 for single-/multi-core. The second processor is Snapdragon 4 Gen 2—not Snapdragon 4s Gen 2—so these scores do not answer this comparison. Do not use them to rank the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 against the Exynos 1330.

Benchmark scores also do not establish sustained speed, heat, battery life, or overall phone quality. Those depend on the specific handset and its implementation, as well as the workload. No percentage performance advantage can be responsibly inferred from the available comparison evidence.

Published specifications: Exynos 1330

Samsung describes the Exynos 1330 as an octa-core processor with two Arm Cortex-A78 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, Mali-G68 graphics, and a 5nm EUV manufacturing process. These are platform specifications from Samsung, not independent performance measurements. Samsung’s product page says specifications and capabilities can change and notes that the product was no longer available as of July 31, 2025.

Samsung lists support for a sub-6GHz 5G modem with peak rates of up to 2.55 Gbps down and 1.28 Gbps up. It also lists support for cameras up to 108MP and 4K video recording at up to 30 frames per second. These are chipset-level limits, not promises that every phone using the chip will include a 108MP camera or record 4K video. Actual phone hardware and carrier conditions determine what is available to the user.

Published specifications: Snapdragon 4s Gen 2

Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 on July 30, 2024, positioning it as an entry-level mobile platform. Its release highlights 5G and a peak download rate of 1 Gbps. That is a vendor-stated platform capability, not a guarantee of real-world download speeds; network coverage, carrier support, and the phone’s implementation affect actual results.

Qualcomm’s announcement provides less specification detail for this comparison than Samsung’s Exynos 1330 page. Missing details should not be read as evidence that the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 does or does not support a particular CPU, GPU, camera, or video feature. Qualcomm also described the platform as targeting 2.8 billion smartphone users in select regions; that is the company’s stated target audience, not an independent count of users.

How to compare the phones, not just the chips

Chipset specifications describe a platform’s capabilities; they do not settle whether one finished phone is a better purchase. For example, NanoReview associates the Exynos 1330 with the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G and the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 with the Xiaomi Redmi A4 5G. These are examples, not recommendations. Confirm the chipset in the exact regional model before buying, because a device name or listing alone may not identify the variant you will receive.

  • Performance under your workload: Look for tests of the exact phone, especially if you play games, use demanding apps, or expect long sessions. A chipset name or short benchmark score cannot establish sustained performance or heat.
  • 5G compatibility: Check the phone’s supported bands and your carrier’s network in your region. Peak modem figures do not guarantee coverage or speeds on a particular plan or network.
  • Camera and video: Compare the phone’s actual sensors, image processing, and supported recording modes. A platform maximum is not a description of the camera hardware in every device.
  • Everyday ownership: Compare price, software support, battery runtime, display, storage, and the exact model’s features. These can matter more to daily use than a small difference in an aggregate benchmark.

Verdict: is either chipset better?

The available evidence does not support a firm overall winner. The Exynos 1330 has a clearer published specification profile, including its CPU and GPU configuration and Samsung’s stated modem and camera limits. Qualcomm highlights the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2’s entry-level positioning and 1 Gbps peak download capability. Neither set of vendor specifications proves which chip delivers better real-world performance in a particular phone.

Choose between specific handset models rather than treating this as a definitive chipset ranking. Verify the regional variant, then weigh matched-device performance evidence against the phone’s price, network compatibility, software support, battery, camera, display, and storage.
