Slide announced a $25 million Series A on June 16, 2025, to expand its business-continuity platform for managed service providers (MSPs), develop products and operations, and begin expansion into Canada. CEO and co-founder Michael Fass called the raise “proof that we’re in it for the long haul,” linking that commitment to investment in people, infrastructure, and partner support. Slide later announced a $70 million Series B in March 2026, so the Series A is not its latest funding milestone.
What is Slide?
Slide is a business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) company serving managed service providers, rather than a consumer backup service. Its platform combines hybrid cloud, server workload protection, and integrations with MSP tools. In its June 2025 announcement, Slide named Backup Radar and Rewst integrations and described its hardware as using NVMe storage and not requiring long-term contracts. These are details from that announcement, not a confirmation of current configurations or terms. Slide’s June 2025 announcement.
The same announcement listed the Z1 appliance at 1–16 TB, the R1 rackmount appliance at up to 60 TB, and the B1 rackmount appliance at up to 150 TB. Those are company-stated capacities at the time of the announcement; MSPs evaluating the equipment should confirm current models and specifications with Slide.
Who invested in Slide’s $25 million funding round?
Slide announced the $25 million Series A on June 16, 2025. Base10 Partners led the round, with Outsiders Fund and Top Down Ventures participating. Base10 General Partner Rexhi Dollaku characterized Slide as “reimagining a legacy space with deep empathy for MSPs and a relentless commitment to product excellence.” That is the investor’s assessment, not an independent evaluation of the platform. What did Slide say it would do with the funding?
Slide said it planned to use the capital to scale platform development and operations, broaden its product portfolio, and launch in Canada, including a Canadian data center. The company did not announce a breakdown of how much of the $25 million would go to each initiative.
For an MSP, these stated plans point to three areas to watch: whether the product roadmap addresses partner needs, whether support and operations can scale with the business, and whether Canadian infrastructure becomes available as described. The funding announcement itself does not establish delivery dates or prove that any planned expansion has been completed.

What did “in it for the long haul” mean for MSP partners?
Fass’s quote was about the kind of company Slide intended to build, not a guarantee of future performance or financial viability. CRN reported that he tied the funding to investment in people, infrastructure, and support, so partners could count on Slide over time. Co-founder Austin McChord described the capital as “general gas in the tank,” saying it would let Slide respond to partners, make partner-first decisions, and accelerate its roadmap. The raise gave Slide resources to pursue its plans; it does not by itself demonstrate the quality of support, recovery outcomes, or long-term durability. Those questions require direct evaluation of the platform and the company’s service commitments.

What happened after the Series A?
On March 10, 2026, Slide announced a $70 million Series B led by General Catalyst. The company also said it was opening a UK office and launching a German data center to support EMEA partners. Its 2026 announcement describes the platform as having native encryption by default, an open API ecosystem, and direct-to-tech support; these are Slide’s own product claims, not independent assessments. The later round puts the 2025 story in context: the $25 million Series A was an earlier financing milestone that Slide said would underpin product, operational, and Canadian expansion—not the company’s latest announced funding.
