- With easy-to-learn rules, Please Don't Burn My Village! can be played in about 20 minutes. This makes it accessible to players ages 10+ with different experience levels, while still providing strategic depth.
Is Sleepytime Village coming to GOG?
Yes. GOG also lists an October 30, 2026 release. Its product page lists Windows, Linux, and macOS, and says the game supports a fully offline installer that does not require GOG Galaxy.
These details are specific to GOG’s listing; Steam’s language information and GOG’s operating-system and installer information should not be treated as interchangeable platform features.

What kind of game is Sleepytime Village?
The official listings describe it as a classic-style, single-player point-and-click adventure. You play Rufus, a neglectful, workaholic father who wakes in a mysterious storybook village and tries to find a way out while contending with its residents, a narrator, and visions of his childhood.

Exploration and story
The store descriptions promise interconnected puzzles, more than 100 collectible in-game objects, over 70 hand-drawn playable scenes, voice performances, an original score, and multiple endings. These are features claimed in the official listings, not findings from an independent playtest.
Rank #3
Tone and content
The developers characterize the game as unsettling and atmospheric rather than gory, with dark humor and psychological themes. Steam’s mature-content disclosure mentions crude and offensive swearing, which can be switched off, and accidental death. Its storybook art should not be taken as an indication that the game is intended for children.
