Singapore-headquartered Energy Capital Global has proposed a ₹41,750-crore, 100 MW AI-ready data-centre campus in Chhattisgarh. The announcement was made at the Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum in Singapore on 5 October 2026. The proposal is not evidence that construction has started or that the announced amount has been spent.
What Energy Capital Global has proposed
The announced plan is for a 100 MW AI-ready data-centre campus in Chhattisgarh, with a proposed investment of ₹41,750 crore. The state and company announcement described clean-power solutions and training opportunities for engineers from Chhattisgarh as features of the proposal. Those are planned elements, not confirmed services or delivered benefits.
The company’s CEO, Stanislav Borisov, described the plan as the start of a long-term partnership and said Energy Capital Global looked forward to building what he called “the largest AI-ready data centre campus in central India.” That description is the company’s characterization; the available reporting does not independently establish the campus as the region’s largest.

Why reports cite ₹43,000 crore
The figures refer to different scopes. The specific data-centre proposal is ₹41,750 crore. The ₹43,250-crore figure reported for the 5 October forum-day announcement combines that proposal with a separate ₹1,500-crore green-energy commitment. A later report put commitments from the chief minister’s full Singapore visit at ₹43,600 crore, incorporating additional announcements beyond the forum-day total. That later aggregate is not a revised price for the data-centre campus.

What is—and is not—confirmed
The proposal was presented at the inaugural SING Forum, held in Singapore on 5 October 2026 and organised by the Singapore Business Federation. Available reporting describes an investment proposal and an invitation to invest; Borisov’s reference to an MOU does not by itself establish the agreement’s binding terms or confirm that the project has reached financial close.
Rank #2
The reports do not identify a district or precise site. They also do not establish a construction start, commissioning date, financing close or drawdown, equipment procurement, power-supply agreement, final binding project terms, or realized job count. The announcement therefore should not be read as a completed data centre or completed investment.
What the announcement means for Chhattisgarh
If advanced and delivered as described, the campus would bring substantial data-centre capacity to the state and could include clean-power solutions and engineer training. Those are prospective features, not measured outcomes: the available reports provide no independently verified impact study, operational capacity, or jobs figure. The project’s eventual location, schedule, financing, and delivery remain unconfirmed.
