Summon only if the featured Servant is a high-priority target and you are comfortable committing the Saint Quartz and tickets you have—even if the Servant does not arrive early. Otherwise, save. On the English-language US server, the limited-pickup guarantee is tied to a specific banner lineup; it does not carry over when that pickup ends. A smaller pull is a gamble, not guaranteed progress toward a later banner.

How the decision works

Fate/Grand Order gives players two broad routes to obtain Servants and Craft Essences: quests and Summoning, including Saint Quartz and Friend Point Summoning, as described in the official game guide. For a limited event pickup, the practical question is whether this featured Servant matters enough to justify using resources that could go toward a later target.

  • Summon if you strongly want the featured Servant, have checked the correct lineup’s summon details, and accept the possibility of spending your planned amount without getting the pickup.
  • Save if the target is only mildly appealing, you are holding Quartz for a more important Servant, or spending now would undermine a deliberate commitment to that later target.

There is no universal banner tier list that can answer this for every account. The right choice depends on your roster, preferences, Quartz and ticket balance, and how much you are willing to risk.

What the 330-summon guarantee does—and does not do

For the English-language US server, the official limited-time pickup notice says that if the pickup ★5 (SSR) Servant has not appeared in 329 summons, the 330th summon guarantees one copy. Paid Saint Quartz, free Saint Quartz, and summon tickets count toward the relevant limited-time pickup summon. Read the official US summon details for the banner you are considering, because the guarantee is subject to that lineup’s terms.

This is a substantial commitment, not a promise that a smaller number of pulls will produce the Servant. If your available resources fall well short of 330, decide whether you still want to take that gamble; do not treat partial spending as banked progress toward a guaranteed copy.

The count is specific to a lineup

Separate summon pages and rotating lineups have separate counts. The official notice says the count does not transfer to a different summon after the limited pickup ends. Before pulling on a rotating banner, verify which lineup the displayed count applies to; do not assume progress on one lineup helps with another.

An 11-pull is not an SSR guarantee

The official notice says each 11x summon includes one 4-star-or-higher card and one 3-star-or-higher Servant. The 4-star-or-higher card may be a Craft Essence, so this rule does not guarantee an SSR Servant.

Check the live banner before spending

  1. Open the in-game summon screen and select the banner you intend to use.
  2. Open its detailed summon information. Check the pickup Servant, rates, eligible summon types, and end time for your server and lineup.
  3. Review the summon-history count shown for that lineup, especially if the banner has rotating pickups.
  4. Set the amount you are willing to spend before summoning. If you would regret using that amount without getting the pickup, save it.

Banner timing is specific, not a forecast. For example, the official US site listed Altria Pendragon (Ruler) in a limited-time pickup from September 28 to September 29, 2026 PDT. That dated example shows why checking the active banner’s actual end time matters; it does not predict a future schedule.

When event Craft Essences affect the choice

An event Craft Essence can make summoning more useful if you plan to farm the event heavily. An official 2026 Japanese-server event notice states that its featured limited Craft Essences increase event item drops. Estimate whether the bonus would matter for the amount you expect to farm, but weigh that convenience separately from wanting the featured Servant: a drop bonus is not a guarantee of Servant acquisition. The notice establishes that event’s bonus, not the value it will have for every account or on another server.

Keep paid campaign summons separate

Some campaigns offer special guaranteed summons or rewards under terms that differ from ordinary pickup banners. The US 9th Anniversary campaign page, published in July 2026, said the one-time limit on its “Guaranteed Summon” feature had been removed so it applied every 330 summons. Treat that as a dated campaign rule, not a standing offer or a promise that future campaigns will match it. Check the current campaign notice for availability and eligibility, and evaluate paid-only offers separately from the choice to spend free Quartz or tickets.

A quick comparison when two banners compete

Question Why it matters
Which featured Servant do you value more? Personal priority is the main reason to spend now rather than preserve resources for a later target.
How many summons can you deliberately commit? A smaller budget may be an acceptable gamble, but it should not be mistaken for reaching the guarantee.
Can you reach 330 summons on the relevant lineup? On the cited US limited-pickup terms, the guarantee is at summon 330 if the pickup SSR has not appeared in the first 329.
When does the banner end, and which lineup holds your count? Pickup windows are date-specific; counts are lineup-specific and do not carry to another summon after the pickup ends.
Will you farm enough for an event Craft Essence bonus to matter? A drop bonus may have event-farming value independent of the Servant pickup.
Is an official paid-only campaign offer active? Campaign guarantees have their own dated terms and should not be confused with ordinary banner rules.

These are decision factors, not an objective ranking of banners. The cited guarantee and dated banner example are US-server information; the Craft Essence example is from a Japanese-server notice. Rules and schedules can differ by server and change, so use the live in-game details for your own server before committing. Official notices establish the guarantee and banner terms, but the available information here does not provide a complete rate table for calculating the odds of an early pickup.
