The product most people mean by a GTA 6 collector’s edition is Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection. It is a physical merchandise box, listed at $399.99 on the U.S. Rockstar Store when checked, and it does not include the game. Buy it only if you specifically want the collectibles inside and are comfortable paying a premium for them. If your goal is to play GTA VI, the box is not the way to get it.
What the box is and what it is not
Rockstar’s product copy describes the set as “A premium Collector’s Box featuring all the essentials for a good time, inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator.” The same listing adds: “Note: Grand Theft Auto VI game sold separately.” Rockstar’s support materials name only two game editions, Standard and Ultimate, so the box is not a third version of the game. It is merchandise sold alongside the game.
The 11 items inside
The Rockstar Store listing names these pieces:
- Macca the Gator figure
- Oakley Frogskins sunglasses
- Leonida Keys crossbody bag
- New Era 9FORTY snapback hat
- Macca magnetic mirror
- Chunkee the Manatee shot glass
- Vice City collectible swizzle spoon
- Vice City razor-blade-style keychain
- Leonida Keys enamel pin set in a metal tin
- Leonida Keys sticker pack in a stash bag
- Double-sided souvenir poster with a Leonida map
The box measures 19 × 13.5 × 12.5 inches. Rockstar describes the items as adult collectibles, not a toy, and the listing carries a warning for choking hazard, small parts, sharp points or edges, and an age 18+ label. That warning is worth reading before you buy if the set will be in a home with children, since several items are small and at least one is a blade-style keychain.

Rockstar states that its physical game contains a download code and no disc. Rockstar Support says physical copies are expected to be available for shipping and pickup beginning November 12, 2026, to support preload. Rockstar lists the scheduled release date as November 19, 2026. These dates are as stated on Rockstar’s pages in early October 2026 and can change.

Availability and timing
- Rockstar’s official GTA VI page describes the collection as a limited edition. A September 24, 2026 announcement is titled “Pre-Order The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection Now While Supplies Last.”
- A preorder option was shown on the collection page when checked.
- Rockstar has not disclosed how many units exist in the material reviewed, and no restock plan has been announced. Treat the “while supplies last” wording as a real risk that the box sells out.
- The box is not eligible for free shipping on the U.S. listing, so the delivered cost may exceed $399.99.
A decision framework
Whether the box is worth its price is a personal judgment. The official listings do not establish resale value, scarcity premiums or investment potential, and this article does not claim them. Work through these five questions in order:
- Primary goal. If you want to play GTA VI, buy the game. If you want the physical collectibles, the box is the product.
- Budget. The box alone is $399.99 at the listed U.S. price. Adding the Standard Edition brings the listed total to $479.98 before shipping and tax.
- Contents. Count how many of the 11 named items you would actually use or display. A box where you want three or four pieces is a different purchase from one where you want most of them.
- Game format. The physical game is a download code in a box with no disc, so it does not work as a disc-based collectible.
- Delivered cost and stock. Confirm the final price, shipping, region and availability at checkout before you pay.
- Likely fit: a fan who wants several of the named items and accepts a premium for a licensed, themed set.
- Poor fit: a player who only wants the game, a buyer on a tight budget, or a household with young children.
Readers searching for “GTA 6 Vice City Collection” should buy from the official Rockstar Store, which is the direct source for the product in the material reviewed. Third-party sellers were not verified here.
